очі слуг на руки свого пана і як очі слугині на руки
господині, так наші очі дивляться на Господа, Бога
нашого, поки не змилосердиться над нами. Помилуй нас, о

Пресвятої Богородиці
Свята в честь Пресвятої
Богородиці в нашому
церковном у кале н дар і
займають перше місце після
свят Господніх. Головне
завдання Богородичних свят
– це показати нам велич,
гідність і святість Пречистої
Діви Марії, Її роль у
відкупленні людського роду
та заохотити нас до її вшанування і наслідування.
Найбільші Богородичні Свята, такі як Різдво й Успіння,
говорять нам про перші та останні хвилини Її життя на
землі. Одиноке свято, яке нам висвітлює дитинство
Пресвятої Богоматері – це свято Введення в храм.
Свято Введення хоче нам відкрити деякі таємниці з
дитячих років Пречистої Діви Марії, Її виховання у
святині та Її приготування до найвищої гідності: бути
Матір’ю Божого Сина. Свято Введення належить до
12-ти великих свят. Воно має один день перед- і чотири
дні післяпразденства. Богослужіння цього дня в
радісних і веселих тонах оспівує подію входу в храм,
прославляє гідність Божої Матері та звеличує велику
жертву її батьків. Пісні й гімни цього дня дуже
поетичні. Ця глибоко догматична поезія у прегарних
порівняннях і символах оспівує Богоматеринство,
Дівицтво, Святість і Заступництво Пречистої Діви
Марії. Найчастіше славиться Вона тут, як Божий храм.
Про що нам говорить свято Введення? Яку духовну
науку він нам дає? Свято Введення говорить нам
найперше про радісну жертву св. Якима й Анни. Вони,
свою в Бога вимолену донечку, самі приводять до
храму на службу Богу. На каноні утрені свята у 8-ій
пісні читаємо: “Анна колись приводячи Пречистий
Храм (це є Марію) у дім Божий, голосно промовила
і з вірою сказала до священика: Прийми сьогодні,
дитину Богом мені дану, введи її у храм твого Творця
і радісно співай йому: благословіть усі діла Господа.
Майбутнє українськоїї Церкви й народу в дуже
великій мірі залежить від того, як наші українські
батьки виховають своїх дітей. Нам необхідні батьки, які
за прикладом св. Якима й Анни радо благословили б
своїх дітей на досконалу жертву для Бога, своєї Церкви
й народу. Нам необхідна духовна молодь, що за зразком
Пречистої Діви Марії радо йшла би за Божим голосом
на службу Богу, Церкві й народу. І тільки тоді зможемо
сміливо дивитися в майбутнє нашої Церкви й народу.
Presentation of the Mother of God
in the Temple
“The Lord spoke to Moses; “On the first day of
the month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of
meeting. You shall put in it the Ark of the Covenant, and
you shall screen the ark with a curtain…Then the cloud
covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled
the tabernacle.” (Exodus 40; 1, 34)
‘Nourished in faith, O Virgin, with heavenly bread in
the Lord’s temple, you brought into the world the Bread
of life, the Word of God. To Him you were betrothed
beforehand by the Spirit in mystic fashion, a temple chosen
and without blemish: and you became the Bride of God
and the Father.’ (Festal matins)
Mary was born in accordance with God’s providence
and His plan of salvation of the human race. The feast of
the Presentation/Entry of Mary into the temple represents
the next stage in the divine preparation for the Incarnation
of Jesus Christ. She was born in order to give birth to the
Divine Word. Dedicated to the Lord before her conception,
she is now presented in the temple, to live a life to total
self-offering to God. Mary is being prepared in the
temple to become herself the temple of the living God.
She is betrothed to God the Word, and becomes the bride
of God the Father.
‘Before you were conceived Pure Lady, you were
dedicated to God; now you have been born on earth, you
have been brought to him, a gift fulfilling your parents
promise. Truly yourself temple of God, pure from
childhood, with bright lights; you have been revealed as
Light’s abode, God’s own inaccessible Light. Truly great is
your entry, you who alone are God’s bride and always a
virgin.’ (Festal matins)
“The expectation of the Messiah and the drawing near
to him are fulfilled in the person of the Virgin Mary
from Nazareth. Before all ages, she was chosen by God.
Mary, who in accordance with Tradition as introduced
in the Temple as a young child, spiritually grew into the
“handmaid of the Lord.” God progressively prepared her to
become the womb, the ark, the temple, and the dwelling
place for the uncontainable God. “By the good will of
God the Father, the Most Holy Spirit prepared a dwelling
place in her for God the Word.” Mary became the
tabernacle in which the Word of God came to dwell in the
fullness of time; “The Word became flesh and dwelled
among us.” (Jn 1; 14) In celebrating the Entrance of the
Mother of God into the Temple of Jerusalem (November
21/December 4 ), Christians are called to follow her
example, allowing the Lord to prepare them so that they
may worthily receive God incarnate in the tabernacle of
their hearts.” (Catechism of the Ukrainian Catholic Church Christ-Our Pascha #177)

День Подяки
"Подяку складайте за все, бо така Божа воля про вас
у Христі Ісусі" (1 Сол. 5:18) – це Боже повеління для
кожного з нас!
В наступний четвер святкуватимемо "День Подяки".
Сьогодні в благодарній св. Літургії ми стараємося
подякувати Господу Богову за всі Його добродійства для
нас.
(Луки 17:12-19) Лише один із десяти прокажених
повернувся для того, щоб подякувати Ісусові. Подяка
– це плід віри, результат християнського життя.
Дякувати потрібно не тільки за хороше, а й за погане,
бо на все, що відбувається, є воля Господня.
Люди поділяються на 3 категорії:
- ті, що завжди дякують
- ті, що дякують тільки за хороше
- ті, що ніколи не дякують.
Ми повинні прагнути знаходитись у першій
категорії.
Як церква, ми повинні навчитися бути вдячними
Богові за те, що Він завжди радий нам і завжди чекає на
нас, за те, що ми – Його діти і маємо частку з Ним, за
те, що Він звільнив нас від царства темряви і ввів в
Царство Христа, за те, що Христос викупив нас Своєю
Кров’ю і заплатив за наші гріхи.
Вдячність є ознакою доброго й шляхетного серця.
Кожна людина є чутлива на вдячність. Вдячносте бажають
люди, її бажає і цінить Бог.
Скільки природних і надприродних добродійств уділяє
нам Господь Бог кожного дня, кожної хвилини! Про деякі
з них ми свідомі, а про деякі навіть несвідомі.
Предобрий Бог дав нам життя, дає нам здоров'ям, родинне
щасття, свободу, добробут, можність розвиватися... І все це
ми приймаємо як щось нам належне.
Подяка сьогодні хай буде: Богові - за наше життя, за
постійну опіку над нами та примноп щоденні ласки якими
нас наділяє, за св. Тайни та ласку бути членами католицької
Церкви. Нашим родичам - за життя і виховання, А коди вони
вже відійшли до вічносте то помолімся за їх душу, щоб Бог
дав їм Царство Небесне. Нашій родині, приятелям,
учителям ...і всім тим, які помагають нам щоденно. Нашій
державі, Америці, яка приняла нас і дає нам кондиції життя,
старається, опікується та захищає нас. Тут маємо свободу і
добробут. Моя подяка парафіянам за співпрацю,
піддтримку та вирозуміння.

The Scriptures and St. Basil the Great on Gratitude
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and His mercy
endures forever." (Psalm 107: 1)
As Christians, we need to acknowledge that God
is good. He gives us all things and creates all things. We
should never forget that. On top of that, we should always
be thankful for all the things God gives to us, because we
are the work of His hand, His creation.
"He brought us from non-being into being; He dignified
us with reason; He provided us with crafts to sustain our
lives; He caused food to spring up from the earth; He has
given us cattle to serve us. For our sake there is rain, for
our sake there is the sun; the hills and the plains have been
adorned for our benefit; affording us refuge from the
peaks of the mountains. For our sake rivers flow; for our
sake fountains gush forth; the sea is made calm for our
trading; riches come from mines and delights come from
everywhere, and the whole of creation is offered as a gift to
us, on account of the rich and abundant Grace of our
Benefactor towards us" (St. Basil the Great)

and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ." (Ephesians 5: 20)
On this occasion of Thanksgiving Day, we extend our
best wishes to our parishioners, their families and friends
to: “Let the peace of God rule in your hearts to which you
are called in one body; and be thankful.” (Colossians 3; 15)

Father, all of creation owes You thanks and praise.
Your justice, love and mercy abound.
We thank you for this day and all You have given us.
For the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Your Divine
Son, Jesus Christ, through which He cancelled the debt of
sin and death and redeemed the world.
For Holy Mother Church, our beacon of salvation,
we thank You.
For the martyrs, the saints who give testimony to Your Son;
We thank you Father, their love abides with us forever.
For loving spouses: we thank You Father:
Together we seek You.
For the gift of children: we thank You Father:
They are precious gifts to us and the world.
For the gift of our families, loved ones, and good friends:
We thank You Father:
Through them we see the reflection of Your Son.
For our jobs, our homes, and all that we have:
