Чому потрібно причащатися? Із проповіді Папи Франциска 19 серпня 2018 року.

Понтифік роздумував над таємницею

Пресвятої Євхаристії і її значенням у житті

кожного християнина. Причащаючись

Христових Тіла і Крові, ми отримуємо

життя Самого ж Бога.

Євангелист Іван розповідає, як

п р о м о в л я ю ч и д о с л у х а ч і в у

Капернаумській синагозі після чуда

помноження хлібів, Ісус назвав Себе

хлібом, що дає вічне життя, кажучи:

"Хліб, який дам вам – це тіло моє за життя світу." Всі,

хто чув ці слова, замислились: "Як може дати нам тіло

своє їсти?" Ісус додає: "Якщо не споживатимете тіла сина

чоловічого і не питимете його крові, не матимете в собі

життя."

Тут, звернув увагу Папа, вже згадується і про кров.

"Тіло і кров у біблійній мові, – пояснив він, – є

вираженням конкретної людської природи. Люд і самі ж

учні відчувають, що Ісус запрошує їх увійти в спільність

з Ним, “споживати” Його, Його людськість, щоб розділити

з Ним дар життя задля світу. А це щось іншого, ніж

тріумф і міражі успіху!"

"Таїнство Христових Тіла і Крові" дароване нам

безкорисливо під час Євхаристійної трапези. Навколо

престолу знаходимо те, що духовно втамовує голод

і спрагу, сьогодні і навіки.

"Щоразу, коли беремо участь у Святій Месі, ми,

в певному значенні, випереджуємо тут на землі те, що

буде в небі, бо від Євхаристійної поживи, Ісусових Тіла та

Крові, вчимося, чим є вічне життя."

"Той, хто буде споживати Мене, житиме через Мене."

Пресвята Євхаристія формує нас, щоб ми вже не жили

лише для себе самих, але для Господа і для ближніх.

Щастя та вічність життя залежать від нашої здатності

зробити плідною євангельську любов, яку отримуємо в

Пресвятій Євхаристії.

Папа наголосив, що Ісус сьогодні повторює також

і нам: "якщо не будете їсти тіла Сина Людського і не

будете пити Його крові, не будете мати в (prod. na stor. 3)

“Love sinners, but hate their deeds, and

do not disdain sinners for their failings, so

that you yourself do not fall into the

temptation which they abide…Do not be

angry with anyone and do not hate anyone,

neither for their faith, nor for their

shameful deeds… Do not foster hatred for

the sinner, for we are all guilty…Hate his

sins and pray for him, so that you may be

made like unto Christ, who had no disdain

for sinners, but prayed for them.” (St. Isaac the Syrian)

'O Lord, You condemned the Pharisee who justified

himself by boasting of his good works; and You justified

the publican who showed his reserve by seeking

forgiveness with his tears. For You do not listen to the

speech of the proud, and You do not despise a contrite

heart. We prostrate ourselves before You, for You

suffered for us in humility. Now grant us forgiveness

and great mercy.' (Matins of the Sunday of the Publican & Pharisee)

When, while praying before God, we can become

self-righteous like the Pharisee, not only do our souls not

profit, but are in a worse state than before. This is because

now there is an obstacle, a kind of wall between us and God.

It seems that God does not accept us, unless, we become aware

of our sins like the Publican, and become humble. That

instant we become humble and repentant, and hope in God's

compassion, God forgives us, cleanses us, and regenerates

us. The Publican blames himself, and God justifies him. He

accepts his repentance, his humble prayer and forgives him.

The Pharisee praises himself, judges others and returns home

unjustified. We cannot purify and save ourselves; God must

purify us and save us.

Do we examine our conscience and see ourselves as

we are? If we don't become humble, we won't be able to

recognize our sins, nor feel the compassion of God. Let us

stand, like the Publican with all sincerity and with God's help,

let us weed out and overcome the obstacles which won't allow

us to thrive spiritually. "I will forgive their (cont. on pg. 3)

повну гармонію з Христом, з Його почуттями та

поведінкою. І це дуже важливо: ходити на Службу Божу

та причащатися, бо приймати Причастя означає приймати

живого Христа, Який перемінює нас зсередини та

Навіщо ходити до храму?

Що є такого в Церкві, чого не знайти ніде більше?

Навіщо людина ходить до храму? Хоча у церкви є маса

різних зовнішніх і внутрішніх ознак, за якими вона

визначається як церква, люди знають, що таке церква,

але зовсім не до кінця собі уявляють, що ж у церкві

відбувається і, дійсно, навіщо ж треба ходити до

церкви?

"Навіщо ходити до церкви?" На це відповісти

неможливо, тому що питання задано дуже по суті.

Як на це питання ні відповідай, ніякої абсолютно

повної відповіді, напевно, дати неможливо. До кінця на

це питання відповісти не можна, тому що таємниця

Церкви - невичерпна, і що таке Церква не так просто

пояснити.

Справа в тому, що церква представляється

багатьом з нас, більшістю з нас, навіть тим, хто давно

ходить до церкви, як якесь місце, яке, передусім,

відповідає твоїм потребам. Тобто до церкви ходити

треба для того, щоб отримати те, що я ніде крім церкви

отримати не можу. Тоді в якомусь сенсі відповідь на

це запитання "Навіщо ходити до церкви?" Може бути

дана: в церкві ти отримаєш те, що ніде ніколи

в іншому місці ти не отримаєш.

І, власне кажучи, люди за цим до церкви і йдуть.

Вони йдуть до церкви, тому що ніде як у церкві ти

не зможеш охрестити свою дитину, ніде як у церкві ти

не зможеш відспівати свого покійного родича,

повінчати свій шлюб, подати записки на молебень,

освятити воду і масу інших речей, заради яких люди

ходять, вірніше, не ходять, а приходять до церкви.

Але виявляється, одночасно з цим, якщо людина

поставить питання трішки глибше, то вона може

сказати: "А мені це якраз від церкви не треба. Мені

не потрібна свята вода, я можу і без неї обійтися.

Мені не потрібно подавати записки, я і сам

помолюся. Мені не потрібно нічого такого від Бога

зовнішнього, тому що, якщо я вірю в Бога, то я

можу і сам без церкви сказати Йому головні слова,

почитати Його Святе Євангеліє, зрозуміти як

мені жити." І він буде абсолютно правий.
