Dear Parishioners, While rummaging through some old papers, I came across this wonderful list written many years ago by the School Sisters of St. Francis:
LOVE’S DECALOGUE
1. Speak to people. There is nothing so nice as a cheerful word of greeting.
2. Smile at people. It takes 72 muscles to frown, only 14 to smile.
3. Call people by name. The sweetest music to their ears is the sound of their own name.
4. Be friendly and helpful. If you would have friends, be a friend.
5. Be cordial. Speak and act as if everything you do is a genuine pleasure.
6. Be genuinely interested in people. You can like almost everybody if you try.
7. Be generous with praise—cautious with criticism.
8. Be considerate with the feelings of others. There are usually three sides to a controversy: yours, the other person’s and the right side.
9. Be alert to give service. What counts most in life is what we do for others.
10. Add to this a good sense of humor, a big dose of patience and a dash of humility, and you will be rewarded manyfold.
An excellent list, wouldn’t you agree?
On Monday, October 4th, Deanna Marinucci and I will meet with all our tenth grade parents and students at 7:15pm in the church. We will review the entire year of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This will be the only meeting so it’s important that the student and at least one parent attends.
On Tuesday, October 5th, we begin our October Marian Devotions to honor our Blessed Mother in this month dedicated to her rosary. Please plan to join me for Rosary & Benediction at 6:30pm—and bring your children/grandchildren. Our Lady would love to see them!
God bless you in the week ahead.
Fr. Wilson

Facing the coronavirus crisis, social upheaval, abortion, and the growing rate of drug addiction and suicide within our communities - our nation desperately needs help from our Blessed Mother. The solution was given by our Blessed Mother in Fatima in 1917 when she told people to pray the rosary for peace in the world. In answer to our Lady’s request, America Needs Fatima is planning on over 20,000 public Rosaries on Saturday, October 16th at 12:00 noon.
Please join us Saturday, October 16th at 12 noon as we pray the Rosary near Oaklawn Ave for our nation. Let us lift our nation in prayer together!

Build the Future Campaign has begun!
To build...(no pun intended)...on our Power of Positivity campaign from last year, we are planning on having a "Build the Future" BRICK BY BRICK campaign. Following our mission statement that says we want to, "Empower our students to become creative, compassionate builders of the future," we are looking for students who are doing three things...empowering others, being kind in lots of creative ways, and showing compassion for all. We will "build" a wall of student and faculty photos from the ground up!
Community Corner Free Ultrasounds for Expectant Moms
Mother of Life Pregnancy Center is looking for ultrasound models to support our life-affirming work. If you have an uncomplicated pregnancy of 17 weeks or less and are in prenatal care, would you be interested in having an ultrasound for the training of medical professionals? You will be able to see the Center and services we offer, see your little one, and experience loving support. Please contact Mother of Life Pregnancy Center at 401-421-0820 for more information.
We had an awesome first week of classes for Grades 2 and 9. Thank you for all your patience during this time! Please continue to check your emails regularly for important updates.
