Students will be provided with detail knowledge of materials and

hardware used on an aircraft during maintenance. It will also

This subject will provide the students basic theory of physics that

Synopsis

Communicative Aviaton English I is designed to cater students to

Kursus ini membincangkan tentang ilmu ketamadunan yang

Melayu, isu-isu kontemporari Tamadun Islam dan Tamadun Asia,

Synopsis

Kursus ini memfokuskan perbincangan tentang hubungan etnik di

Malaysia yang mana ianya merupakan proses hubungan social

yang dinamik. Tujuan kursus ini adalah untuk meningkatkan

pemahaman pelajar-pelajar tentang konsep kesepaduan social,

potret hubungan etnik, konsep-konsep asas hubungan etnik,

plurality dan masyarakat pluralistic di Malaysia, pembangunan

politik, pembangunan ekonomi dan perlembagaan Malaysia dalam

konteks hubungan etnik di Malaysia, integrasi dan menangani

cabaran, agama dan masyarakat, sumbangan kerajaan dan

masyarakat inter-etnik dan intra-etnik. Objektif matapelajaran ini

This is an introductory course to fundamental of, electricity,

concepts of AC and DC electricity generation, AC and DC motors,

transforming of electrical power through transformer, electrical

distribution in aircraft through main, emergency and external

power source. These concepts would be applied to one of the

important system in aircraft – lighting system.

This course covers the elements of human being which will be

affecting how someone behaves in daily life. It includes the issues

Synopsis

Students will be provided with detail knowledge of aircraft cabin

interior systems, ice and rain protection systems, including

regulatory requirements, systems layout, description and

component replacement, servicing, documentations and

certification.

Synopsis

In this course, students are introduced to essential state of art in

developing their technical drawing skills and understanding the

current terminology. Terms and definitions used in industries,

such as manufacturing and construction, may also be covered.

geometric construction, auxiliary drawing, computing dimensions

and lettering.

Synopsis

Student will be exposed to detail knowledge on principles of

construction and functioning of aircraft cabin atmosphere and

environmental system which includes oxygen, cabin

pressurization, air conditioning and heating system. Student will

be assigned to tasks as required to ensure the continuing

airworthiness of an aircraft including inspection, repair, defect

rectification, troubleshooting of the said system and its associated

components in accordance with the methods prescribed in the

relevant manuals with the applicable standards of airworthiness.

Synopsis

Student will be exposed to characteristics, construction, layouts

and applications of the aircraft fire detection and fire extinguishing

system, as well as aircrafts’ fuel systems. Student will be assigned

to tasks required to ensure the continuing airworthiness of an

aircraft including methods and procedures for the inspection,

testing, troubleshooting or defect rectification in accordance with

the methods prescribed in the relevant standards of airworthiness

Synopsis

This course is designed for the students to be exposed to the

various concept and problem solving methods in thermodynamics

and fluid mechanics. Topics discussed are basic concept of

thermodynamics, the first law of thermodynamics,

thermodynamics properties of liquids and solids, fluid behavior,

fluids statics and dynamics, dimensional analysis and similarity.

Moreover, the students will also be taught on the calculations of

various theoretical concepts of thermodynamics and fluid

mechanics.

Title AAB20402 – Theory of Flight and Control

Synopsis

In this subject the students will be exposed to the various

aerodynamic effects and force exerted on aircraft during flight,

the general aircraft wing sections on how to obtain lift, drag and

pitching moment. Students will also be equipped with the

knowledge of aircraft flight conditions, equilibrium, the effects of

aerodynamic and propulsive controls on equilibrium and

disturbance conditions. Moreover, the students will also be taught

on the significance of flight stability and its impact of aircraft

operations and pilot workload, the meaning of aerodynamic

stability derivatives, their sources, the effects of aerodynamic

derivatives on flight stability and the impact of flight stability. The

student will have a good appreciation of high speed flow about an

aerofoil and compressible flow through a duct of varying cross

section during transonic, sonic and supersonic flight.

Synopsis

This course covers the basic and immediate level of aircraft

structure as per standard guidelines of maintenance practices and

approved maintenance manuals. It includes the introduction to

the aircraft structural design, classifications, and structural

components, sheet metal repairs, welding techniques, non-

destructive testing and painting. It also includes the defect

recognition, defect inspection, defect evaluation and repair if

necessary as per standard maintenance practices.

This subject covers the principle of hydraulic and pneumatic. This

Synopsis

Strength of Materials is a basic engineering course and is a branch

of applied mechanics that deals with the behavior of solid bodies

subjected to various types of loading. The solid bodies considered

in this course include axially members, shaft in torsion, thin

shells. Beams, and columns, as well as structure that are

assemblies of these components. Usually the objectives of

strength of materials analysis are determination of the stresses,

strains, and displacements, produced by the loads. Knowing these

quantities for all values of load up to failure load gives a complete

picture of the mechanical behavior of the body. The course

includes a laboratory where students have an opportunity to build

an appreciation for the phenomenon being discussed in lecture.

general engineering and aircraft manufacturing.

Students will be provided with detail knowledge on flight control

system, applications and functions of related control surfaces and

devices, methods and procedures for repairs, inspection methods,

control surface balancing, and control surface rigging (in

of airworthiness) in order to ensure the continuing airworthiness

of an aircraft.

This course where the students will be exposed to the working

principles, how power is obtained and lost in a reciprocating

engine, about Induction System, Cooling System, Exhaust

of a piston engines.

This course provides the understanding of various basic

instruments used in aircraft such as pressure measuring devices,

temperature measuring instruments, engine speed measuring

instrument, mechanical movement measurement, synchronous

data-transmission systems, gyroscopic instruments, compass,

instrument pneumatic systems, pitot-static system, fuel quantity

indicating systems, fuel monitoring systems and auxiliary

instruments; and avionics systems such as radio communication

systems, radio navigation systems and associated components.

Synopsis

This is part two study on gas turbine engines. As a continuation of

part one, this part two describes the bearings used in gas turbine

engines, the lubrication and air sealing of the bearings, and how

the same air system cools the hot section components of the

engine. The study looks at how the fuel metering, starting, and

ignition system support the operation of gas turbine engines. To

read engine power and monitor engine operation from the flight
