Dear applicant,
By reading this you have taken the first brave step to applying for MCP in AIESEC in
Guatemala.
This is your chance to make a real change. This is the chance for you to make a
difference in people's lives. This is the chance to make a difference in Guatemala as a
country. This country really needs the leaders that AIESEC in Guatemala develops and
you have the opportunity to impact the country in a way that you never imagine.
I will never say that being in this role is an easy job but I will always say that is something that you will never ever
regret if you have the opportunity to be a MCP.
If you are doubting because you are not prepared enough, let me tell you that you will never be prepared for this
experience. The only thing that you really need for being a MCP is a clear purpose, if you have it, let me tell you that
you are ready.
Guatemala needs people who assume responsibility for this beautiful country, people who owns Guatemala to lead
the change, and I know that you are that person for wanting to take this step.

The Member Committee President is the maximum responsible of AIESEC on National level. He/she reports to the
Global Plenary being responsible for the management and development of the Member Committee Executive Board
and the National Board of Presidents.
The MCP role has to do with ensuring the direction by MCEB to the national network and the fulfilment of the
National Plan, coordinating and managing MCEB, BoP and main stakeholders of the organization and ensuring the
AIESEC Way and the proper delivery of the AIESEC XP.
Planning
1. Organize the process of planning
2. Build and implement tracking systems and decision
making process
3. Track, review and coach MCVPs on the strategic plan
4. Support on budgeting and financial decision making
Team Management
1. Build and implement management tools and principles
2. Organize and run MC Team Days
3. Align and coordinate MCVPs during conferences and

4. Run MC weekly meetings
5. Ensure all MCVPs have a correct plan and job

1. Represent AIESEC in Guatemala as an entity on events and meetings

MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Salary
The monthly salary is 300 USD paid in Quetzales which is 2400 Quetzales per month, paid in to half, one
on the 15 th and the other one on the 30th. The salary is enough to afford basic personal expenses and
needs in Guatemala City.
You can eat outside for less than 25 quetzales and if you cook by yourself you spend less. Transportation is
not a problem because the bus (Transmetro or Transurbano) cost only 1 quetzal and is near from our house
and office.
MCEB salary fully depends on the financial capability and the current MCEB performance (with a trend to
increase in the future) hence the amount may vary and the exchange rate may also define how much is paid
out in local currency.
Other Costs Covered
AIESEC in Guatemala covers to every MCEB member the following costs:
Accommodation (rent and servicies) in the MCEB house.
National conferences fees and travel expenses.
Travel for purposes of AIESEC in Guatemala, like for account management, according to national
priorities and budget available, are covered. Personal travel and moving expenses in Guatemala are not.
The support for MCP to go to International Conferences depends on the financial situation during the
term. IPM 2016 is covered for the MCP Elected.
Living Conditions
We have a house located near bus stops. We are
4 blocks from the bus stop that will leave us in
the office.
The house has 5 bedrooms with its own
bathrooms; internet all over the house; an
equipped kitchen; laundry room with whashing
and drying machines; big living and dining
room; and a garden.
The address is 3ra Avenida, 9-02, Zona 9,
Guatemala City.
Working Conditions
Our office is in a Coworking Space known as Chamba.
There we have the necessary infrastructure to work:
server, desk spaces, printer, Wi-Fi, phone, whiteboards,
kitchen with microwave and fridge (so you can bring
your food to the office), conference room with video bim,
ping pong table, etc. Nevertheless, MCEB Members are
required to bring their own laptops for their work since is
not provided by AIESEC in Guatemala.
Also we are 4 blocks from the bus stop that will leave us
in the MC House.
The address is Vía 5, 1-23, Zona 4.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 40 hours per week.
Work on weekends: sometimes mostly
during Team Days, Coaching Visits,
Summits, Conferences and other
planned meetings.

Voting Process
In order to accept the submitted applications, you need to include an application package in .zip with:
1) Motivation Letter (Max. 1 page)
2) CV with contact information (Skype ID, mobile phone, e-mail, first name and surname), AIESEC experience (roles
and results) and external experience relevant to the role (Max. 2 page)
3) PDF with completed questionnaire:
• All questions need to be answered and all of them must be in English.
• You can design your application to express your self as you can.
• YouTube video link needs to be included: 5 minutes video presentation and summarizing your application. It
could be in English or Spanish.
• Max 11 pages (12 with cover page).
•Font´s size minimum 10
4) One page PDF with summary of application
5) PDF Files of four Endorsement Letters signed from:
• Someone you lead in AIESEC.
• Former or current leader in AIESEC.
• Former or current team mate.
• An external (alumni, partner or someone completely unrelated with AIESEC)

2. What‘s your life plan for the next 10 years and how is connected with the role of MCP?
3. What kind of leader do you need to be in order to lead AIESEC in Guatemala in the 16.17 term?
4. Application video: Please record a introduction video of your application and attach the link in this
questionnaire. The duration must be maximum 5 minutes. It is expected for you to express yourself and
orally talk at least in some moment of the video. Include your personal presentation and previous
experience in AIESEC. Answer to the following questions: What do you envision for AIESEC Guatemala
2016.2017? Why do you represent the leadership that AIESEC Guatemala needs for the next period?
Introduction and Self Awareness
1. Please explain the AIESEC Way as you were talking with a parent of one of your local presidents and
this parent does not understand why AIESEC is so important for his son and Guatemalan society.
2. AIESEC 2020's goals have not been set. From the statements created at IC 2015, what would you like to
see from the goals and how AIESEC in Guatemala could contribute to it?
Organizational Understanding and Global Context
1. Make a SWOT of AIESEC in Guatemala.
2. Describe the organizational culture you want to see in AIESEC in Guatemala
3. Considering the questions before, define 3 drivers for your term and main projects for those drivers.
4. What is the legacy of your term at 30th of June of 2017: Describe your main 3 milestones (with numeric
goals) and the focus programs for the term 16.17
5. Define the goals for your term:
Exchange Programs (Explain the growth you propose for each program and how each local entity
will contribute to the overall goal)
Membership Productivity and how will you guarantee it.
6. Explain your ideal 16.17 MC team structure. Why would you like to have this team structure and how
this structure would help you to deliver your plan? What type of team environment soot the best in you?
What type of members would you need to recruit to create a dynamic for a high-performing team?
7. What strategies in all the communication channels will you implement to guarantee a good
communication and effective implementation at local level of national strategies?
Your Plan
1. Think about your day-by-day as MCP. According to your strategies and focus, how would you prioritize
your different roles (preference order)? Include your role in: External representation, global
representation, team management, network management, and others (feel free to propose).
2. How will you work together with the national board of presidents (BoP) to fulfill the plan of AIESEC
Guatemala for 16.17 term? How do you plan to ensure the development of the One Leadership Body?
