1. With the vision of AIESEC “ Peace and fulfillment of humankind potential” What do you think which AIESEC activities complied on AIESEC way and be able to help achieving vision of AIESEC. Explain

In the word Peace: We have our international internship program to create the better understanding for our stakeholders. Our international

internship program works together with cooperate and non-cooperate partners. With the understanding of humanity, peace of the world are not

far to reach.

Fulfillment of Humankind’s potential: AIESEC provides the development of members and Aim to develop individuals who have the knowledge,

skills and determination to bring more development to the world. The AIESEC Activities are international conferences, projects, running for LC,

running for MC. AIESEC leads every individual members to focus on the development of their potential instead of their limitation.

2. As MC team, assuming all of your teammates are not from the same country, and they may not understand the culture. How can you deal and work with them happily?

Conflict always happen when there is no understanding. Before working together, we would set clear expectation within the team and how we

are going to work together. I am very adaptable person; I don’t think it’s going to be such the big problem to work with diverse of culture.

3. If AIESEC Thailand is lacking of members and AIESEC knowledge, how can you create a promotion or campaign to solve on this problem?

Right now AIESEC Thailand is lacking of ACTIVE members who have AIESEC Knowledge to run organization professionally but I would say we

have some members who really want to change this organization to be the development platform for the young generation. The promotion

should really clear what the new members will get after they pass through the AIESEC Experience e.g. bring success alumni for new members to

see as example. Motivation and Inspiration are very important keys to empower to members to live and run the full AIESEC Experiences.

4.2 LCs capability and opportunity (AU,BU,CU,TU)

LCAU, the LC which has high support from university for projects and activities. Their opportunities are the diversification of students and the

ethic business seminar; they can utilize this seminar to promote AIESEC activates. This LC are very creative in organizing the special events.

LCBU, Know as the creative students, they have capability to create interesting promotional tool for recruitments. Members are very new and

active to perform AIESEC career. Also AIESEC LCBU has alumni support of the PBOX and knowledge.

LCCU, the best university of Thailand, with Arts in languages members, their members are interested to go abroad to learn new cultures and

languages.

LCTU, this LC has the strong alumni relation. With the alumni supports, I believe this is the best opportunity for LC to generate AIESEC

experiences to its members.

4.3 Failure and renewal of Local committee

“LACK of AIESEC KNOWLEDGE” I can say that majority of LC are still need to put more effort from their leadership body. We need to

increase the motivation and AIESEC knowledge to each Leadership Role person in LC and make them be able to provide knowledge to their

members.

“DEPENDENT LCs” All LCs are still rely on MC, As MC team, we need to really empower the LC to be more independent and be able to do own

operation works.

“Low numbers of Re-intention members” Majority of members easy comes and goes, without people, no other organization can run the

operation in order to achieve the goal or create more positive impact to the society. AIESEC needs to re-intent its members to run the AIESEC

Experiences.

5. Please describe the word “leadership” in your thinking and give an example to support your answer.

For me, leadership is one kind o f arts. Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it. I

want my members to unlock their potential. I want them to create more impact for our society and world. I want them to dream it and do it.

I BELIEVE IN PASSION OF AIESEC

A great leader's courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position

.” ~ John C. Maxwell.

This is my motivation to lead AIESEC Thailand in 2011-2012. I believe in Passion of AIESEC that it can create more impact to many people. I

want to see AIESEC Thailand is growing rapidly and sustain for the long term operation.

I believe in the passion of AIESEC members who live the full AIESEC Experience. We are all with the same passion to create the positive impact

to our society. Also I want to provide more opportunities of Thai Youth to experience AIESEC XP and be able to be good leaders that can

contribute good things to the world and our country.

As MCP Full-time, I would like to give my first priority to drive the amazing organization to grow bigger and bigger and impact to more people.

Refer to my past AIESEC Experience; I feel that AIESEC offered me many opportunities. I always make the choice and take the chance. It’s my

choice that creates my destiny. I met many passionate people. We are young, we are strong and we can make the better world. I feel this is the

right place for me to develop myself together with developing others.

I want to continue my MCP to build the strong foundation for AIESEC Thailand. I want to see top universities of Thailand have AIESEC. I want to

bring more positive impact to our society and really make it happen.

I devote myself for AIESEC Thailand. I wish I would run AIESEC Thailand and create the 100% AIESECers with Exchange and Leadership

Experience.

“Empowers every member to live and run the full AIESEC Experience”

1.What is your motivation to lead AIESEC in Thailand in the next term (2011-2012)? Why did you decide to apply as MCP?

Page 9: MCP AIESEC Thailand 2011-2012 Application

CHARMVARINE PUINONGPO RUNNING FOR MCP AIESEC IN THAILAND 2011-2012 Page 9 of 19

Result and Relationship-Oriented As the leader, we must balance the result and the relationship of the team. Leadership is about leading

people to have the passion and create their best performance for the country. Also leader needs to communicate with the team and create the

good relationship among the MC team in order to make the good results for AIESEC Thailand.

Optimism “Impossible is nothing” MCP should be very optimistic and believe that we can really do something for AIESEC Thailand and our

country. No need to be fear if we are doing right. If there is the problem occurs, MCP should take it as Challenge and find the solutions instead of

ignoring and running away from the problem.

Strong Internal Motivation, No one can really knock you down if you have strong internal motivation to motivate yourself to drive the goal for

AIESEC Thailand. First MCP should have strong internal motivation “ Fire inside” which able to light the way to others.

For Charmvarine’s leadership style, I can say that I am very adaptable woman and I enjoy to work with any people who have passion to drive

AIESEC Thailand. As negotiator, I am good in seeing thing in big picture. When I see it, I have to convince and make others see the big picture

of AIESEC Thailand that we can grow and sustain in the future and how we are going to do that, my team needs to have strong commitment to

do it together. I can say that my leadership styles are my strengths point of being an MCP of AIESEC Thailand. For my weakness, I can say

that I am the person who have a lot of ideas and cannot really focus on one thing at the time. So I really need my team to help me on that. As I

am good in seeing thing in big picture, I rarely see things in details. I am very emotional leaders. I am easily cried and express my feeling in front

of others.

2. Identify the necessary leadership characteristics of MCP of AIESEC in Thailand and explain why they are needed. In addition, evaluate your leadership style, highlighting your strengths and weaknesses.

In the next 5 years, I would work in Ministry of Foreign affairs at ASEAN Association. I have contributed my experience to ASEAN Community

and my country. Also I became the social entrepreneur to help the local people in my country and started the global luxury brand under my name

“ Charmvarine” and be the role model for young generation to be able to think big and achieve their dream. What a hot AIESEC Alumni!

As MCP of AIESEC Thailand, I would love to contribute my time and my effort to AIESEC Thailand as my first priority. I have a dream that

AIESEC Thailand will be the first choice for Thailand’s youth to develop themselves.

With my strong passion and positive attitudes, I believe that I can bring AIESEC Thailand to achieve the goal and to be in the top performance

country and sustainable for long term operation.

3. What would you like to see yourself doing in 5 years from now, and why? How do you see your work as MCP of AIESEC in Thailand will contribute to achieving this goal?

Page 11: MCP AIESEC Thailand 2011-2012 Application

CHARMVARINE PUINONGPO RUNNING FOR MCP AIESEC IN THAILAND 2011-2012 Page 11 of 19

Start with passion and people “Creating 100 % AIESECers”

My strategy is to inspire others to make an impact. I would see AIESEC Thailand growing in number of members who are really call themselves

as “AIESECers” with the passion to make the world and society to become better place.

In the year 2010/2011, we want to empower every member to live and run

the full AIESEC Experience. Also create the strong leadership body in LC

level and make the LC are able to work professionally by their own knees

with MC supports.

2011-2012 : LC Expansion to Ramkhamheang University and University of

the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

2012-2013 : LC Expansion to Stamford International University, Rangsit

University and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology

2013-2014 : LC Expansion to Konkean University

2014-2015 : LC Expansion to Chiang Mai University

Total 11 Entities by 2015, Every AIESEC members are willing to go for

Exchange. Each expansion should have at least 50 Active members and

strong leadership body who be able to inspire other Youth.

Please make a long term milestone of AIESEC Thailand 2015. Break down your target numerical goals for each year in the term of : X, L, X+L, Members, Money, and Entities. What will be your specific strategies and initiatives to support the

milestone in each year?

Page 12: MCP AIESEC Thailand 2011-2012 Application

Focus on Non-DT Realization

According to Thailand has a big market in management and technical

area that AIESEC Thailand can capitalize this big market through the

network of Chambers of Commerce for MT/TT realization and Ministry

of Education for ET ICX.

This can create the foundation for AIESEC Thailand in term of Exchange

numbers and financial sustainability.

Also my plan is every 1 MT/TT rising in each company, the company

need to support 1 Thai youth to have international experience abroad as

scholarship.

One LC One Sustain PBOX

“Acting Sustainably” You can have a lot of Ideas to create the PBOX but

at least I want LC to focus on one PBOX and make it big and create more

impact to the society.

Also making the PBOX creates the TR and LR opportunities to the

members.

Page 13: MCP AIESEC Thailand 2011-2012 Application

CHARMVARINE PUINONGPO RUNNING FOR MCP AIESEC IN THAILAND 2011-2012 Page 13 of 19

Focus on Development Internship for Out-Going Exchange

The number is so high but I don’t think it’s too high to reach. I will tell you how. This year we

are in 4 universities, we target to have 120 DT Exchangers and 50 re-integration the

exchangers to become AIESECers

altogether with LC Expansion campaign.

The expansion plan of LC is based on

the number of Exchange in partner

university.

Also 50% of Exchanger will re-

integrate to be LR in their LC. Then we

can have strong leadership body who

has dual X+L Experiences.

Financial Sustainability

By growing in number of Exchange in both Non-DT ICX and OGX, AIESEC Thailand

would generate income more than 8,000,000 THB Baht by the end of 2015 term that

means, we can have our own office and 7 MC Full-times.

4. How do you think the ideal MC team should look like? How do you see your role in creating such a team?

COMMITMENT AND PASSION

There is not other word that describes team better

than commitment. As the team, we have to commit

in what we are doing to achieve our goal. We have

to win as the team.

Passion is one of important factor that ideal team

should look like. With passion, it creates a stronger

team and better performance.

As passionate leaders, I would drive my team by

my passion and process to come up with the high

performance of an organization.

Coming together is a beginning.

Keeping together is progress.

Working together is success.

5. How would you evaluate the performance of AIESEC in Thailand so far? What would you outline as major successes and potential bottle-necks?

ASEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY 2015

Thailand want to develop the young generation to be competitive with other youth

among ASEAN Countries, AIESEC will be the best choice to develop and prepare

Thai youth to be ready for ASEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY 2015.

e.g. Provide the INTRA SEA, provide the opportunities for Thai AIESECers in SEA

Countries, so they get prepare and know the different culture and be able to work

together as ASEAN.

ECONOMIC GROWTH

Export products shift Thailand Economic growth, In here, AIESEC can provide the MT/TT Internship

for SME Exporters in Thailand for their market expansion and also this MT/TT ICX can help country

Initiative 1: X+L Campaign

We need to focus on X+L Campaign for recruitment of new members and provide the quality of Job descriptions for our members to have the

high quality of X+L Dual Experience. The members is the final product of AIESEC H4TF that we can offer to the company to take them as Local

interns and Employer Branding.

Initiative 2: AIESEC 2015

Use the ambitious BHAG of AIESEC 2015 to engage the big impact for our society with AIESEC Vision, Values and the AIESEC Way.

Initiative 3: Social Media Engagement

We are growing bigger and social media also growing bigger. The number of population in Facebook is bigger than Mainland of China. We need

to provide knowledge to our members to capitalize on Social Media to generate more members, X, X+L to our members and be well-known in

the social media network.

I would take those complain as the feedback and 100% of course I am not fail as individual. First, I need to know what the root of the complaints

is. After I know, so I will find the solutions with my team and solve the problem immediately. As Leader, we need to focus on the survival of an

organization and the team. If there is any complain with my performance, I am being able to change for this organization.

“Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way.

Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.”

8. Identify 3 trends or initiatives of AIESEC Globally (AIESEC international, AIESEC in other countries and territories) and highlight their effect on AIESEC in Thailand?

I am agree with the sentence. Without team building means there is no team and no goal so it’s equal to one individual’s performance because they don’t work as a team. A good team building needs 12 Cs, clear expectation, context, commitment, competence, charter, control, collaboration, communication, creative innovation, consequences, coordination and cultural change.

Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships. - Michael Jordan

“ I will devote my effort and my contribution to build the great foundation for

AIESEC Thailand and its generation, with my commitment, strong passion and

positive attitude. We will show the world that we are not only smile but we can

make the succession”

10. ‘If a team do not have team building, the results from this team is equal to one individual’s performance.’ Do you agree with this sentence? Please explain
