Patriot Golf Recap

Club Championship Results

W hat a finish to this year’s Club Championship! We had a family duel, some first time winners and a final to the Men’s Championship to be remembered. Kay Walker and daughter Angie Palmer were neck and neck all the way to the end of the Ladies’ Championship. Angie finished two shots

ahead of her mother with a 178. While Kay Walker came up short, she did walk away as the Net Champion shooting a 130.

Sand your divots and repair your ballmarks. Rake the bunkers, including your footprints.

Wear collared shirts and tuck them in at the waist. Do not drive your carts beyond black cart signs in the fairway or rough.

Please leave rakes inside bunkers parallel to the lip and at least 2' away from the edge. All golfers are required to check in the pro shop prior to playing golf.

Club Championship Results Continued

The Men’s Championship came right down the wire. Mike Windisch trailed Paul Clark by two shots coming into the 18th green and hit a beautiful second shot about 18 feet from the pin. Paul Clark hit it just over the green in two and had a difficult pitch from behind the green. He knocked it about 15 feet, which was a very good shot from that position. Mike drained the 18 footer for eagle putting pressure on Paul to make the 15 foot putt for victory. What did Paul due but drain it right on top of Mike’s putt. Nice clutch putt to defend his title and win his second Championship in a row. Congratulations Paul Clark! Hats off to Georgette Covert and John Timmons for their wonderful performance. John shot 73 – 75 to beat Jack Jordan by two shots and Georgette shot 195 to edge out Kay Rusche by 3 shots.
