AIESEC XP 1. Why are you applying for the position in AIESEC Dominican Republic?

i'm applying for AIESEC in Dominican Republic because when i decided to apply for MC abroad i had clear i want to be in a country that have to all possibilities to be the number one but the results doesn't reflect this potential. so AIESEC is the international platform to explore and develop the young potential, and the question is: does AIESEC DR young people with a potential to develop? YES AIESEC gives the opportunity to take an international exchange and the ideal is that we could have an attractive country to take this internship, and now the question is: is Dominican Republic an attractive country? OF COURSE so, if we have the tools why dont we have the results we expect? is because we dont know how to take advantages about these opportunities and we are not working taking count of the market trends. finally, i just say that i want to be one of those persons who change the reality in AIESEC Dominican Republic, because that country has potential.

2. Describe your 3 main strengths and

weaknesses and give an example for your past.

unpunctual impatient perfectionist

I like challenges focused persevering

before i was a person who never think about the feelings of the people, i just had a team and for me they were like machines, they just have to work, now thanks my EB and LCVP experience i am diferznt, i learned to see the persons and the feelings of them, i learned that the people work through the motivation and the positive example. the MC XP challenge me with my weaknesses and strengths because i have to learn to be more patient, i have to understand that i dont have always the results in my hands and that as i know, discipline drive to the excellence and i want to transmit this for the members, i have to lear that is not so bad if i am perfectionist but alll the things in excess have consequences and that i have to know the limit, so i know that the MC XP help me with that, because the AIESEC experiences teach me in the best form: learning by doing 3. What have been your five main achievements in AIESEC in the past?

4. What were your most 3 important learning points of your last experience?

ICX member: my committee was an extension and i achieved put close my LC with the educational sector and this give us as a result our first TNs GIPs, that was important because my LC was so near to be close for low performance (incoming and outgoing) and we were not closed LCVP IGCDP:we achieve a growing that more than 350% (4 to 22 IGCDP XPs) ER: i achieve to hace more than 10 sponsor for our projects GOVERMENT: i achieve to manage a project with the goverment (GCDP) OGX: to have our first EP (because we never made any internship)

SENSIBILITY: to see the my team as persons and not like machines, to value the things they do for the team

and the goal

Team work: before I just believe I coul make the

thing better alone

To trust in my EB team (we can do the things together)

Anny Arzuaga – MCVP BD @DR 13.14

5. What do you see as the biggest trend facing the Dominican Republic economy and society? How will these trends affect AIESEC?

Economic Growth and the rise of the tourism that pursuance a big social inequality

How will this trend affect AIESEC? 1. The Dominican Republic economic is growing thanks the

foreign investment, this give us as a result the presence of American companies in the country,, that could be exploited through our GCDP and GIP programs , because these companies have the culture of invest in social projects for the CSR and are also interested about have international and national human talent because being a foreign company, must have national employees that support the operations and AIESEC could offer the national talent that the companies need with our plus.

2. For no one is a secret that Dominican Republic is an attractive country for the tourism, this generate an equilibrium in the balance of payment and of course that the country has a economic stability for national investment;. This also generate that DR be an attractive countries for the AIESEC EPs, which produce that our Incoming programs have more MATCH opportunities.

3. The social inequality in a heavenly country show the need to work with social projects and the obligation of the government and the private companies to invest in these social problems through visible project that could be supporter for AIESEC

6. How will AIESEC Dominican Republic look like on 30th June 2014? According to this, what would be top 3 priorities for the term? AIESEC in Dominican Republic will look like a sustainable entity recognized by the results growing, the consolidation of the current local committees and the extension committees. We will have a developed and empowered membership and a balance between the number of experiences and quality of them. Finally AIESEC in DR will be considered for the companies and our closer stakeholder as the first solution of the issues of the country, ensuring a generalized growth of Dominican Republic. Our top 3 priorities:

empowerment and consolidation of

membership (through an organizational culture)

Sales (know how to sell our programs

and products) AIESEC positioning

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE 1. mention 3 external trends in Dominican Republic, which will most influence future partnership and external product development.

Social inequality

ecotourism

Continuous economic growth

2. Evaluate all corporate products in AIESEC Dominican Republic. What are the product that had more success to be sold to companies. What are the new products that you can propose? Currently, AIESEC Dominican Republic has no an specific product portfolio, and the way to work is through “product sheets” suitable for each company where they want to sell the AIESEC internship programs, so they just sell the GIP and GCDP program and the opportunity to be partner of AIESEC DR without an specific name of the product.. however, AIESEC DR works considering ELD programs, plus ER strategy and marketing to sell them. Product that had more success to be sold to companies: the products with more success are the GIP (incoming – profesional global) products, focused in: *human resources *Education (especially English) *consulting New product I can propose: the portfolio I can propose Is compound of two main products focused in: *national brand positioning *human talent access.

Anny Arzuaga – MCVP BD @DR 13.14

1.. National brand positioning: CATEGORY A *partnership launch *partnership award CATEGORY B *Institutional sponsors National events: *youth to business forum (already implemented) *alumni meeting

2. International talent access *international human talent *first choice employer

*Each one of these product have a price that could be establish with the national team and are thought for the sustainability of the national committee and the experience growth the products are focused for companies:

“Companies it has the opportunity to participate in global spaces with young leaders as partners” *recognitions to the best local committee and leaders with the company brand inside it “companies it has the opportunity to participate in national conferences as sponsor” To have the national AIESEC talent working in your company and giving you the “plus” and more.

3. Design a national sales strategy for the term 13.14. briefly explain timeline and key activities.

Strategy: work with BD and GIP through specifics products that target

the market directly to the needs of it, supported by alumni network, in our current stakeholders and a focused market segmentation.

*timeline!

*Key Activities!

*to work through specific products that develop the national positioning and the GIP exchanges *to manage a segmentation focused in BD and GIP *to take advantage of the alumni network to have more external conexions and possible TN takers

4. Outline your strategy which you can support the realization of 30 GIPs TNs

the main idea of this strategy is work through packages GIP for the companies (5 TNs minimum) that could be realized at different times. the first thing we have to do is capitalize the potential to invest of the companies HOW: making a national focused segmentation WHY: because Dominican Republic has hia lot of companies that can invest in international talent and that are interested about brand promotions, the thing is that we have have to know clearly which are the needs of these companies to attack the offer our products, if we have clear that point, we will have more than 60% of posibilities to close the sale. GOAL: AIESEC RD has the potential to make more than 30 GIP realizations, so we need a minimum of 6 companies (TN taker) to achieve our goal. WAY TO DO IT: following the steps we note in the timeline, because sometimes we forget the basic steps and these could be the key to achieve the goal. 6 TN takers : 30 GIP realizations (of course we don't going to work just with 6 companies, we have to touch more doors to find our finals TN takers)

Bogotá, April 11th, 2013

For whom it may concern, On July of 2012 I had the opportunity to met Anny Arzuaga on during our National Conference while she was in the role of VP iGCDP of AIESEC in Valledupar, after that, during my term as MCVP iGCDP I had the opportunity to work really close with her, and I’m really proud to endorse her application to MCVP Business Development of AIESEC in Dominican Republic. Anny is an unique AIESECer and I could notice this since the first time I had contact with her. She is a highly engaged person, passionate and committed to always do the best on her activities. During the second semester of 2012, I had the opportunity to work with Anny, while she was on her role as VP iGCDP in Valledupar and between all her competencies I’d like to highlight 3 mains points that makes her a good as an MC Member. First her commitment, she is a person that will do everything she can to deliver her promise, as you can see for the amazing grow her LC had in 2012. Second her empathy and capacity to connect, she can easily enter on a any environment with any kind of person and make herself comfortable, she is easy to trust and to make you feel secure, what is fundamental for any MC member that needs to connect with the network, but is also really good for external representation of the organization. Last, the amazing way how she is driven by the excellence, in all my work with Anny I never expected less than the best from her, she was always able to think and deliver way over I was expecting, her natural behavior is looking for the most professional and accurate way to make things happen. Besides that, Anny is a really fun person and also a very friendly. She is always creating a positive environment around her, and for sure is someone who you can always trust, just being around her makes you feel better. She is going to be the one who you can have from the most silly to the most deep conversations. For all the characteristics mentioned above, I reinforce, once again, my endorsement to Anny Arzuaga. In case of doubts, feel free to contact me,
