In September 2008, a study on social media was completed by The Cone Institute. It found:
– 60% of Americans use social media.
– 93% of those Americans believe that companies should have a presence on those social mediums
– 85% believe that companies should not only be present, but should regularly interact with their customers on social media.

How to Make a Facebook Fan Page
Click on Advertising
Scroll down to the bottom of your homepage and click advertising.
Click Pages
Click Create a Page
Getting Started
Select your page category and name. Type in your electronic signature and click
Create Page
Your Facebook Page
This is what your page will look like.
Click Edit Information
Edit Information
Enter your information and click Save Changes.
Detailed Information
Enter your detailed information and click Save Changes.
Click Done Editing
Change Profile Picture
Move your cursor over to the profile picture and click Change Picture
in the top right corner.
Click Upload a Picture
Choose a Profile Pic / Logo
Click Browse and select the picture you want as your profile picture.
Then click Open.
Click on the “Write Something” Box
Enter the Text You Want

Click on Wall. Then Click on Settings in the top right corner.

version of HTML)

You can also include other free apps like YouTube Box and FBML. Some good paid
apps include Home Search.
Publish Page
When you’re ready, click Publish This Page to make your page visible to the Facebook
community.
