MISTAKE #1

Making a list. Your own list is your enemy! Goals require life changes.

Change is hard. Your sheer willpower wont make things happen.

Pushing yourself hard, feeling stressed, and guilty, will make you give up sooner or later.

MISTAKE #2

Getting excited!

I can hear you protesting! Listen. Getting all pumped up may keep you going for a few weeks but it will soon wear out.

Excitement is not a reliable motivator. Don't depend on it!

Emotions change many times in a day. Hoping to use emotions to carry you through, for a year, is only wishful thinking.

MISTAKE #3

Making excuses.

Procrastination, blaming the weather, your workload, the economy, promising yourself you will do something tomorrow is not the way to succeed.
