EXTENSION OF TIME FOR NOMINEE
CLUB FOGOLAR FURLAN MELBOURNE
Club Fogolar Furlan Melbourne applied for an extension of time in which to nominate a natural person to be nominee in respect of the approved venue pursuant to section 3.4.14(3) of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (‘the Act’). The Commission determined:
• to approve the request by Club Fogolar Furlan Melbourne for an extension of time until 31 January 2012 to make an application for approval of Mr Edi Martin to be the nominee of the Club.

Hampton RSL Sub-Branch Inc applied for an extension of time in which to nominate a natural person to be nominee in respect of the approved venue pursuant to section 3.4.14(3) of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (‘the Act’). The Commission determined: • to approve the request by Hampton RSL Sub-Branch Inc for an extension of time
until 30 January 2012 to make an application for approval of a natural person to to be the nominee of the Club.

EXTENSION OF TIME FOR SUBMISSION
CITY OF MONASH
A request was received from the City of Monash for an extension of time in which to respond to an application by L’Unico Pty Ltd to increase the number of gaming machines at the L’Unico Hotel, 319 Clayton Road, Clayton. The request was made as Council required additional time to consult the university population of the municipality. The Commission determined:
• to refuse an extension of time until 13 March 2012 for the City of Monash to lodge its submissions pursuant to section 3.4.19 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003, in relation to the application by L’Unico Pty Ltd to increase the number of gaming machines at the L’Unico Hotel, 319 Clayton Road, Clayton.

Box Hill RSL Sub-Branch Inc has lodged an application under section 3.4.18 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (‘the Act’) to amend the conditions of its venue operator’s licence to decrease by five the number of gaming machines in Box Hill RSL.
The Commission found:
• that it is satisfied that the application was in the correct form, that the application fee was paid, that a waiver has been received and that the proposed amendment complies with Ministerial directions pursuant to sections 3.4.18(1)(a), 3.4.18(1)(b), 3.4.19(4) and 3.4.20(1)(a) of the Act.
The Commission determined:
• to make the proposed amendment to the conditions of the licence by a decrease of five in the number of gaming machines in the approved venue.

• that it is satisfied Patricia McGlynn Nazemetz is of sound and stable financial background pursuant to section 10.4A.1(b) of the Act; and
• that Patricia McGlynn Nazemetz does not have business associations who or which are not of good repute or who have undesirable or unsatisfactory financial resources pursuant to section 10.4A.1(c) of the Act.
The Commission determined:
• to approve Patricia McGlynn Nazemetz as suitable to be concerned in or associated with the business of a person listed on the Roll, pursuant to section 10.4A.7 of the Act.

RENEWAL OF BOOKMAKER REGISTRATION
GERALD NEIL WILLIAMS
Gerald Neil Williams lodged an application to renew his registration as a sole trader bookmaker pursuant to section 4.5A.13 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (‘the Act’). This applicant was previously granted a sole trader bookmaker registration effective from 1 October 2007 to midnight 30 September 2010, which remains current pursuant to section 4.5A.13(1) of the Act.
The Commission found:
• the applicant, being over 18 years of age, could apply for registration as a bookmaker;
• it is satisfied an application in the approved form has been lodged pursuant to section 4.5A.13(2) of the Act;
• a prescribed fee, pursuant to section 4.5A.13(2) of the Act, does not apply at this time;
• the applicant and each associate of the applicant, are of good repute, do not have any business association who or which are not of good repute or have undesirable or unsatisfactory financial resources and that they are of sound and stable financial background, pursuant to the criteria set out in sections 4.5A.4(2)(a), (b) and (c) of the Act;
• it is satisfied that the applicant has made appropriate bond arrangements under section 94A of the Racing Act 1958; and
• it is satisfied the applicant has adopted a Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct that has been approved by the Commission, pursuant to the criteria set out in section 4.5A.4(2)(f) of the Act.
The Commission determined:
• to grant a bookmaker’s registration in the name of Gerald Neil Williams for five years from 1 October 2010 until midnight 30 September 2015.

ELECTRONIC GAMING MACHINE GAME CROWN – SAFARI GOLD
• The Commission makes the following findings in respect of an application for
approval of the electronic gaming machine game Safari Gold to operate in the Crown gaming machine network.
• The game Safari Gold has been submitted by Shuffle Master Australasia Pty Ltd
for approval. The correct fee has been paid. • The Commission approves the game Safari Gold under section 3.5.4 of the
Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (‘the Act’). • Under section 3.5.4(3) of the Act, the Commission, having regard to player return,
game fairness and security and responsible gambling, any standards in force under section 3.5.3 of the Act and the certificate of a person listed on the Roll of Manufacturers, Suppliers and Testers (‘the Roll’), being a person referred to in section 3.4.61(1)(c), may approve or refuse to approve a gaming machine type or a game.
• At its 29 October 2002 meeting, the Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority
adopted the Director’s Standards (as approved by the Minister under section 68A of the Gaming Machine Control Act 1991) against which to assess applications for the approval of gaming machine games and types. These Standards are taken to be Standards made by the Commission under section 3.5.3 of the Act.
• An accredited tester for gaming machine game testing and listed on the Roll has
tested the game for compliance with section 3.5.4(3)(c) of the Act. • The game features associated with Safari Gold do not differ from those previously
approved by the Commission. No features that may impact on responsible gambling principles have been identified.
• Based on the assessment by the accredited tester, the Commission can be satisfied
that the game is suitable in respect of player return, game fairness and security, and responsible gambling for use in gaming.

• The Commission makes the following findings in respect of an application for
approval of the electronic gaming machine game Sex and the City Single Play to operate in the Crown gaming machine network.
• The game Sex and the City Single Play has been submitted by IGT (Australia) Pty
Ltd for approval. The correct fee has been paid. • The Commission approves the game Sex and the City Single Play under section
3.5.4 of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (‘the Act’). • Under section 3.5.4(3) of the Act, the Commission, having regard to player return,
game fairness and security and responsible gambling, any standards in force under section 3.5.3 of the Act and the certificate of a person listed on the Roll of Manufacturers, Suppliers and Testers (‘the Roll’), being a person referred to in section 3.4.61(1)(c), may approve or refuse to approve a gaming machine type or a game.

approval of the electronic gaming machine game Golden Clovers to operate in the Tabcorp gaming machine network.
• The game Golden Clovers has been submitted by IGT (Australia) Pty Ltd for
approval. The correct fee has been paid. • The Commission approves the game Golden Clovers under section 3.5.4 of the
Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (‘the Act’). • Under section 3.5.4(3) of the Act, the Commission, having regard to player return,
game fairness and security and responsible gambling, any standards in force under section 3.5.3 of the Act and the certificate of a person listed on the Roll of Manufacturers, Suppliers and Testers (‘the Roll’), being a person referred to in section 3.4.61(1)(c), may approve or refuse to approve a gaming machine type or a game.

adopted the Director’s Standards (as approved by the Minister under section 68A of the Gaming Machine Control Act 1991) against which to assess applications for the approval of gaming machine games and types. These Standards are taken to be Standards made by the Commission under section 3.5.3 of the Act.
• An accredited tester for gaming machine game testing and listed on the Roll has
tested the game for compliance with section 3.5.4(3)(c) of the Act. • The game features associated with Golden Clovers do not differ from those
previously approved by the Commission. No features that may impact on responsible gambling principles have been identified.
• Based on the assessment by the accredited tester, the Commission can be satisfied
that the game is suitable in respect of player return, game fairness and security, and responsible gambling for use in gaming.

• The Commission makes the following findings in respect of an application for
approval of the electronic gaming machine game Gold Fever Turtle Bay to operate in the Tatts gaming machine network.
• The game Gold Fever Turtle Bay has been submitted by IGT (Australia) Pty Ltd
for approval. The correct fee has been paid. • The Commission approves the game Gold Fever Turtle Bay under section 3.5.4 of
the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 (‘the Act’). • Under section 3.5.4(3) of the Act, the Commission, having regard to player return,
game fairness and security and responsible gambling, any standards in force under section 3.5.3 of the Act and the certificate of a person listed on the Roll of Manufacturers, Suppliers and Testers (‘the Roll’), being a person referred to in section 3.4.61(1)(c), may approve or refuse to approve a gaming machine type or a game.
