I recently took over the role of
Director of Product Marketing,
Eaton PMC with the knowledge
that this challenge would bring
with it a few things that I love.
First of all, the challenge of
promoting one of the finest
products manufactured into our
market and to help beat out the
competition is tops on my list
of FUN! With the help of our
first class, knowledgeable (and
Fluid Power Certified) sales
team, we bring the solutions
our customers are looking for.
Anywhere from a simple com-
ponent to an elaborate turnkey
system, the team is ready to
attack. A close second in my
list of fun things to do is work-
ing with the great folks at Eaton
to help us conquer the competi-
tion. We have set up a calendar
dedicated to scheduling the
ASM’s and PSM’s into our
area to help us achieve our
goals. With their vast
“Worldly” experience, there are
not too many things they have
not seen or done. On top of
that, Eaton employs some of
the top engineering minds in
the world to head up their prod-
uct management team. You
dream it up, they make it hap-
pen. Eaton’s Power and Motion
Control leadership team main-
tains the commitment to win!
With all this great field support
coupled with our excellent cus-
tomer service team, and the
extensive inventory in the dis-
tribution center, Hydraulic Sup-
ply is poised and ready to grow
this part of our business. We
look forward to serving your
needs however big or small
they may be. Look to HSC and
Eaton for all your fluid power
needs.

Eaton 420 Piston Pump….The A10 Killer! See the Inside story.
July, 2012
HSC helps Firemen be Safer Eaton and HSC help E-
One improve their
equipment. When you
have a fireman 150 feet in
the air in an aerial ladder,
the smallest of movements
on the bottom of the truck
means tremendous and
dangerous movements up
top. It's simple physics.
Eaton Charlynn technology
allows two motors to work
in unison in both direc-
tions, thus eliminating
shock in the system and
keeping the firemen safer. Senior management from

Eaton’s new DuraForce products help
trailer the load
Despite high customer demand, Eaton®
high-pressure pumps and motors ar-
rived just in time for installation on an
18-axle carrier.
It takes a lot of hydraulic muscle to move oceangoing ships, but the job is not too weighty for
Eaton’s new DuraForce™ high-pressure pumps, motors, and control valves.
Developed in a global strategic alliance with Linde, the Eaton products are performing wheel drive, steering, and jack-up func-tions on all 18 axles of a custom-ized 500-ton-capacity carrier built by Toyo Trailer Company, Ltd. of Osaka, Japan. The 59-foot (18-
meter) carrier was delivered in July 2011 to an Asian shipbuilder.

June, 2012 Jeff Allen – Eaton Corp.
visits with HSC
Jeff Allen, Senior VP & GM of the
Power and Motion Control Division with
Eaton Corporation visited the sales and
leadership teams of Hydraulic Supply
Company to get acquainted with our or-
ganization. Along with Bob Tripp,
Eaton’s ASM for HSC, we toured the
distribution center, discussed strategies
for growing PMC both domestically and
overseas, and then visited the other areas
of our business including one of our re-
pair centers and two retail locations.
Over the two day event, many opportuni-
ties and projects were reviewed with the
focus of one common goal, Winning!
Jeff Allen brings the leadership and com-
mitment needed to make these goals hap-
pen. With his expert team of product
managers, we are well on our way to
providing the solutions our customers
require. Thank you Jeff, Bob, and all the
fine ladies and gentlemen behind the
scene that make Eaton a premier manu-
facturer in the hydraulics industry!

Eaton’s tandem heavy duty pumps and motors
successfully passed in-field trials, thus ensuring
KPG would keep its combine harvesters operating
at peak performance. “The test trials were a great
success,” said Eaton’s Louis Tee, product market-
ing manager. “KPG was very impressed with the
excellent performance of Eaton’s heavy-duty
pumps and motors and made the decision to stan-
dardize on them for its KT-08 and KPH-22T mod-
els.”

Thailand has a strong tradition of rice production. It
has the fifth-largest amount of land under rice culti-
vation in the world and is the world’s largest ex-
porter of rice. For this reason high reliability and
durability were at the top of the requirement list
when KPG picked the drive system for their har-
vesters, explaining that with Thailand’s 23 million
acres of rice-producing farmland, rice harvesters
are often operating in remote, undulating terrain
that is not easily accessible for machinery repair
and maintenance. With a long history of business
development and working closely with end-users to
identify the real needs of rice farmers, Eaton made
a proposal based on their Series 1 heavy-duty hy-
drostatic variable pumps and motors. The pumps
and motors would work in tandem to drive a dual

This represents a significant im-
provement in delivery and demon-
strates Eaton’s commitment to the
industrial market. The PVM Series
pumps are rated to 4,000 psi and
available from 18cc to 141cc dis-
placements. The low noise, flexible
configuration, and reliable design
of the PVM make it the premier
pump for the majority medium duty
industrial applications.
