Hearing Aids: Why Are You Waiting?

Many people with hearing loss think that hearingaids will make them look older or aect othersperception of them. They put o getting hearingaids because they think that they can get by justne; however, getting by is stressful and hard work.It often leads to isolation and social withdrawal. Behonest with yourself. Wearing hearing aids is muchless noticeable than constantly asking people torepeat themselves or responding to a question withan unrelated answer.

The truth is that a well-tted hearing aid can greatlyenhance your ability to interact with others. Hearingaids can minimize many problems that go alongwith hearing loss, such as diculty understandingconversations, hearing environmental noise as wellas location and direction of sound. And they canhelp ght feelings of social isolation.

If your hearing loss aects your ability tocommunicate with others or makes you feelself-conscious, it may be time to consider hearingaids. Though it may be awkward at rst, over timeyou'll adjust to the device and enjoy your enhancedability to hear and communicate in a variety ofsituations. By wearing your hearing aids regularly, you will begin to notice signicant improvements in

your quality of life.Hearing Loss is much more noticeable than HearingAids. The rst step is to have your hearing tested.Call for your appointment today with our ClinicalAudiologist.

SHOPPINGI remember now why I hate shopping it makes my head hurlike the dickens!! Te missus has been kind enough to give me the

go ahead to shop or a back-up tractor or all my essential toys errrtractor implements. I started out thinking that an older tractorwith 60 horsepower would be best as that is the recommendedmaximum horsepower or my wood chipper!! Along with a loaderwith a oat position and the remote hydraulics needed or mybackhoe attachment this unit would be perect. Checking out theull specications, however, I nd that these tractors are weighingin at a very burly 6,000 plus pounds. Tis is one ton more than mycurrent tractor, which already gives me the willies going across mybridge. Should I risk an additional 2,000 pounds on my bridge ... dont think so.

Okay, lets re-think and explore other options. How about newerand smaller??? Might work out great!! Check out hydraulic owPO horsepower, loader li capacity, three point hitch li capacity

check on-line or product reviews and problems, check mysanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More importantly, when looking at lighter andless expensive tractors I have tried to evaluate the Mikie actor!! I Irun this tractor into a big tree or over a big stump, how many pieceso tractor will I have to pick up aerwards.

Okay, Mikie calm down and give your head a shake!!! Oooohhthe rattling sound is very annoying. Right now I wouldnt want atractor i you paid me to take it away!! On second thought, pleasemake all cheques payable to Mikie.

In the mean time I just may need the winter to recover rom myshopping experience. It is a certainty that I wont be recovered in timeor Christmas. Sorry dear!!

A mere 20 years ago, most tractor buyers would go to one or twonearby dealers who they elt were trusted and make a decisionrom the relatively small number o available units. oday, with the

internet, I can access tractors or sale almost any where in the worldIn one browser tab I can locate a tractor, then open a second tab tocheck out the complete specs or that model and then in a third tabcheck tractor orums or peoples experience with that tractor goodor bad and then there is a air chance that i I go to Youube, I canprobably nd a video o the darn thing working in the backyard orout in the woods. By the time I have researched all options I shouldbe one oot in the grave.

While it is great to access inormation, what you really get is aheadache and inormation overload. For now, I think I will jushibernate or a couple o months and maybe there will be a brandnew to me tractor under the Christmas tree!!! 800

MAkEOvERTese past ew months saw us undertake a makeover o our logoand look that we introduced in the magazines last month. Wehave had lots o discussion on colours and onts and styles, butunderneath Ossekeag Publishing has not changed. We put on anew pair o jeans and got an updated haircut, and we had un inthe process, and now we would love to have your comments andopinions as we continue to tweak the look.Fun as that may be, our primary ocus is not on the appearance

but the substance. One o the things I love about this businessis the many community minded people it brings me in contactwith. Tis week I had a visit rom a woman who works atHampton High School who is on a mission. Actually she is onseveral missions or her kids at the high school, but the specicinitiative she was in to see me about was Adopt A Grad. Anyone

who has had a child or grandchild graduate in recent yearswill understand the cost involved, with grad ees, grad photos, yearbook, prom. Not every amily is in a position to und allo this or their graduating student; in some cases they struggle

just to send their kids to school with a lunch every day. In thebig scheme o things, having grad photos and a yearbook andattending prom cannot trump buying groceries or the amily.

Still every young person should have the opportunity tohave the photos and the yearbook and to attend the prom, tocelebrate with their school riends as they make that big steprom childhood to the adult world. With that as their goal asmall group at Hampton High have identied the students mostin need o a little support and are working to ensure that theytoo will someday be able to haul out that old yearbook and show

their kids that yes indeed their ather really was the originalhipster or their mother was captain o the debate team. Teycan drag that old prom dress out o the back o the closet ortheir daughter to try on and can remember with ondness theend o their high school years. I you want to be part o this greatidea I can put you in touch with the organizers. I you want todo the same in your school, I will be happy to promote it or you.

Our little makeover has been un. Playing a small part to helpout a graduating student is a joy. A bit of fragrance always clings to the hand that gives roses. ~Chinese Proverb. 801
