    ALLEN PARK A pre-liminary examination ofthe evidence against a 39-year-old man charged in thedeaths last month of twopeople resumed Monday in24th District Court

    Judge John Courtwrightpresided over the examof Roger Bowling, who ischarged in the deaths anddismemberment of his tworoommates. Police haveidentified the victims asBowlings former girlfriend,Danielle Greenway, 32, andher boyfriend, Chris Hall,42.

    Bowling was arrestedJuly 19. Greenway and Hallhad been reported missingdays earlier.

    Bowling allegedly shotthem to death and thendismembered them in theirhouse on Anne Street beforedumping them into theDetroit River.

    Jeffrey Jentzen, an assis-tant Wayne County medicalexaminer, told the courtthat Hall was shot six times,including twice in the face,and Greenway was shotonce in the head. He saidboth died of the gunshotwounds.

    The hearing was

    adjourned before defenseattorney Mark Brown couldcross-examine Jon Mathis,a detective with the AllenPark Police Department.

    The exam, which beganAug. 6 and continuedMonday, is scheduled toresume for a third day oftestimony at 10:30 a.m. nextWednesday.

    Testimony was heardfrom four new witnesses,including Mathis. DetectiveJeffrey Miller was recalledfor more testimony and theprosecution let the courtview footage of a discussionbetween Bowling and Millerwhen he was questioned

    voluntarily July 19.Among those giving tes-

    timony was Robert Slick,35, another former room-mate of Bowlings. The twoshared a house for about 10months in 2003-04.

    Slick said that Bowlinghad told him more than 10times, that he was going tocut her up, put her body ina cooler with chains andthen dump her in the river.

    Slick said he told Bowlingsimilar things about hisown ex-wife and that itdidnt occur to him thatBowling might act on it.

    ROCKWOOD Policehave confirmed that OfficerChristian Zieminski hasbeen terminated for a sec-ond time in his career inlaw enforcement.

    Police Chief StephenRowe said Monday thatZieminski was fired July 6,but he would not commenton the circumstances.

    Zieminski had been withthe Rockwood departmentsince June 2007.

    He was hired under acloud of controversy.

    He was fired from theBrownstown TownshipPolice Department in 2006,when he was 28. He wasserving as the liaison officerat Woodhaven High Schoolwhen police confirmed thathe had an inappropriate

    relationship with a 17-year-old student.

    Zieminski had been anofficer in the township forsix years before being ter-minated.

    As a township officer,Zieminski was assignedto the high school inSeptember 2006, the samemonth he was married. Theinappropriate contact withthe student is believed to

    have taken place the follow-ing month.

    An investigation foundZieminski had inappropri-ate contact with the studenton two occasions. Therelationship was discoveredafter the teenager told sev-eral of her friends about theencounters.
