THE FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The church wakes up to an amazing message this morn-ing. Look around and see who has been called. Listen to the voices of those who proclaim Jesus is Lord. You'll find no race of people left out; you'll find no language on earth unfit to proclaim the glory of God. We call Pentecost Sun-day the "birthday of the church." In many ways, the church is still being born. Only when we all know the peace Jesus offered in today's Gospel will we really know the fullness of the Holy Spirit. St. Paul assures us in today's second reading that "all of us have been given to drink of the one Spirit." When we look around us in the church we should see everyone. But we don't. Not yet. What is holding us back from fully embracing the one Body of Christ? When will we see our differences as manifestations of the same Holy Spirit?

KHAO KHÁT CHÚA THÁNH THẦN Nói xong, Đức Giê-su thổi hơi vào các ông và bảo: “Anh em hãy nhận lấy Thánh Thần.” (Ga 20,22)

Suy niệm: Có một ngày các linh mục đồng loạt xách va-li rời khỏi giáo xứ; giáo dân gia nhập các đoàn thể Công giáo chỉ để mua vui; mỗi lần cầu nguyện, các Ki-tô hữu cảm thấy khó khăn vì Thiên Chúa với họ thật ngàn trùng xa cách và xa lạ; Đức Giê-su chỉ là một nhân vật của quá khứ, xa xưa; các sách Tin Mừng với những dòng chữ chết khô, đọc mãi chẳng thấy một sức mạnh nào; các tu sĩ hoạt động trong các bệnh viện, trại phong... chán nản trước các công việc nhàm chán mỗi ngày; Giáo hội như một bảo tàng viện gồm những nghi thức cũ kỹ lạc hậu... Đó là một ngày không có Chúa Thánh Thần. May mắn thay, ngày ấy đã không xảy ra! Vì từ ngày Hiện xuống trên các tông đồ, Chúa Thánh Thần luôn ở mãi trong thế giới.

Mời Bạn: Ghi nhớ lời của Charles Spurgeon, một nhà truyền giáo nổi tiếng của Mỹ: “Nếu chúng ta không có Thánh Thần, chúng ta nên đóng cửa các nhà thờ. Nếu các giáo sĩ không có Thánh Thần, tốt hơn họ đừng rao giảng Lời Chúa và giáo dân nên ở nhà mà ngủ”. Thế nhưng, có Thánh Thần, mọi sự đã đổi khác. Bạn có nhận ra sự hiện diện âm thầm và mạnh mẽ của Thánh Thần trong đời bạn không?

Chia sẻ: Làm thế nào để nhận ra sự hiện diện tác động của Thánh Thần?

Sống Lời Chúa: Bắt đầu một ngày sống với một tư tưởng tích cực: khao khát những giá trị Tin Mừng, khao khát một cuộc sống người môn đệ Chúa Kitô. Nhờ sự khao khát này, Thánh Thần sẽ đến, đem lại hứng khởi cho cuộc sống.

Khai giảng vào ngày 27 tháng 6, học vào các ngày 4, 11, 18, 25 tháng 7, và các ngày 1, 8, 15, 22 tháng 8. -Điều kiện: cần có lòng nhiệt thành ao ước học hỏi Lời Chúa, vì thế cần phải có cuốn Thánh Kinh Cựu Ước và Tân Ước. LA PLENITUD DEL ESPÍRITU SANTO La Iglesia se despierta esta mañana con un asombroso mensaje. Mira a tu alrededor a ver quién ha sido llamado. Escucha las voces de los que proclaman que Jesús es el Señor. Encontrarás que ningún pueblo ni raza ha sido excluido; ningún idioma del mundo es incapaz de proclamar la gloria de Dios. Decimos que el Domingo de Pentecostés es el "cumpleaños de la Iglesia". En diversas maneras, la Iglesia todavía está naciendo. Sólo cuando todos conozcan la paz que Jesús ofrece en el Evangelio de hoy es que de veras conoceremos la plenitud del Es-píritu Santo.

San Pablo nos asegura en la segunda lectura de hoy que "a todos se nos ha dado a beber del mismo Espíritu". Cu-ando pasamos nuestra mirada por la Iglesia, deberíamos de ver a todos. Pero no es así. Todavía no, ¿qué barrera nos impide abrazarnos en un solo Cuerpo de Cristo? ¿Cuándo vamos a reconocer que nuestras diferencias son manifestaciones de un mismo Espíritu Santo?
