Message from the President-elect Two months ago, I was where you are now– eager for my next step in AIESEC,

curious about Myanmar, excited about a new environment, wondering if I should jump into

such a rapidly changing country or simply stay in my comfort zone. It’s obvious now that I

chose to be bold and I hope you can be bold too.

Not many people know about what’s going on in Myanmar, and I wasn’t an exception. I decided to apply somewhat

blindly. All I knew was I wanted a change, a challenge. I wanted to change, to challenge. Going through the MCP

app process, I fell in love with Myanmar and all it offered. Development was inevitable and the Burmese people

must maintain integrity while learning to adapt to the trends– a feat AIESEC is very familiar with, especially in 2015.

Joining AIESEC Myanmar is exhilarating, but doing it in 2015 is extraordinary– history in the making.

Myanmar is in its formative years, opening itself only recently for globalization. It’s the perfect time for us to deliver

cultural education and professional experiences. The Burmese youth so clearly need the LDM, so your Clarity of

Why will be equally clear. I challenge you to pursue BOLD ACTIONS OF A NEW AIESEC TOWARDS A NEW

MYANMAR. I need action-oriented, self-driven, and resilient teammates and if that’s you, then apply now! The

entity is so young here that even AIESEC itself is not a comfort zone. You’ll learn and grow here as fast as

Myanmar will. This year will transform you. Are you ready to meet the new you?

Application Process

Your application package will be sent to all members of AIESEC in Myanmar. They will be given 48 hours to read it and send back their questions, then the Election Chair, along with MC currents, elects, and the BOA will be consolidating the questions in time for your interview.

At our agreed upon time, we will have 2 hours of individual Q&A online. Please ensure you have good internet connection. Your answers will again be sent to all members of AIESEC in Myanmar and they will be given 24 hours to vote.

Working & Living Conditions • MC flat also serves as the office. Rent and utilities covered by national

budget.

• Limited connectivity as a general reality in Myanmar

• Salary: €250 per month for Full-time*

• Work week: Monday-Friday.

• Work hours: 40 hours/week for Full-time, 30 hours/week for Part-time

• Term: July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016

• Transition: All MC-elects must be in Yangon by June 1, 2015.

• Visa: Please ensure that you are aware of the processes required.

• Food: €2-3 per meal

• Transportation: €0.2-3 per way

*All MC members may become part-time or full-time throughout the term, depending on the entity’s performance and finances. For Q1 of the term, only TM/OGX will be part-time. If you are a fluent English speaker, you will have no problem finding a side job to cover your living costs. English Teaching jobs can pay as much as €20/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES • Acquisition of and CRM for new partnerships for the complete product portfolio of AIESEC in

Myanmar. • Implementation the national sales and account management strategy and will constantly

adapt the products and portfolio to the market needs • Recruitment & training of a strong account management team comprised of local AIESECers

that can deliver and upscale the existing and newly acquired partnerships. • Promotion and matching of all GIP opportunities through entity partnerships • Quality management and customer relations for all exchange participants MEASURES OF SUCCESS: • Achievement of national sales targets and exchanges • Recruitment & Development of a local account management team • Quality of ICX experiences (NPS score and evaluations) • Retention and growth rate of TN Takers • Partner conversion (From TN-taker to sponsor or adviser, vice versa) • Long-term Entity Partners • Revenue and Reserves

applying for your chosen department/s? 2. What is your personal mission and vision in your life and

how does working in the MC of Myanmar help you achieve it?

3. Please identify one current issue in Myanmar and describe how AIESEC can improve this issue and capitalize on it for the development of our members, our external presence, and our financial sustainability.

4. What kind of MC team does AIESEC in Myanmar need for 2015-2016? Mention behaviors, values, culture.

5. What can you uniquely contribute to the MC team in terms of personality, experience, skills, and values?

7. Which partnerships of AIESEC have you contributed to in the last 12 months, what was your specific role and what were the results of the partnerships?

8. Do you think cross-selling social projects, national events, and iGIP is feasible given the values and interests of companies in Myanmar? If yes, why and how? If no, why not and how else would you approach companies?

9. For 15-16, a lot of focus will be on strategic partnerships that aim to market AIESEC’s credibility in Myanmar. Which organizations/agencies (name at least 3) would you target, through which channels/networks, and what will be our value proposition for each?

10. How do you perceive the National Product Portfolio of AIESEC in Myanmar evolving for the next term (2015-2016)? How can the portfolio be optimized in order to increase its value proposition to our different stakeholders and increase revenues?

7. Both OGX and LC expansions were huge bottlenecks in the past term.

a. Please analyse the root causes of these. b. Propose 3 strategies, c. the resources and investments needed for each, d. and the challenges/risks of each.

8. Based on your research, where should we begin establishing our first LCs? And, assuming it is successful, how will you use these to ensure a strong leadership pipeline, locally and nationally? Please provide specific organizations/universities, and concrete action steps.

9. Delivering and measuring the LDM has been a global struggle in AIESEC. Currently, we have a Leadership Development Program with MPDC. How will you improve the program so it mobilizes youth towards membership or exchange, while also becoming a replicable good case practice?
