MAKING HISTORY2005 – U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics predicts massive talent shortage by 2015 due to large Boomer generation (born 1943-1960) retiring. Gen Y (born 1982-2001) enters the workforce with promises of investment in their career development and endless opportunity.

MAKING HISTORY2010 – Global economic recession causes companies to reduce expenses (layoffs) resulting in record unemployment. Organizations reduce spending on employee development and shift focus from investing in internal career growth to retaining most senior staff.
