2. Learning and Study StrategiesInventory (LASSI) Designed to assess your learning and studypractices and attitudes. Provided to help you learn how you learn. Identify your strengths and areas forimprovement. 3. Gaining Access to LASSI Access to LASSI has been provided for you by NCIN When you are ready to begin, locate the following URL with yourweb browser:http://www.hhpubco.com/lassi/ You will be directed to a web page with directions for taking theLASSI, read these directions; You should have been provided a school number, user nameand password by your professor, you must enter thisinformation to continue. If you do not have a school number, along with username andpassword, follow instructions on next slide. 4. LASSI Locator on NCIN web site www.newcareersinnursing.org/resources/lassi-assessment 5. Getting StartedLocate your schools name and your instructors name ; from here you can send a request for the following: School number User name User password Once you receive this information, go to the LASSI site. Enter this information at the LASSI web site The next screen requires you to enter your first and last name. TheID and email fields are optional. The next screen to appear will be the LASSI assessment. 6. LASSI MODULES 7. Becoming a Strategic Learner You will be asked to respond to 80 statements. To help youdecide which response to select, this is what is meant by eachoption:RESPOND OPTIONS Not at all typical of me : true of you only in rare instances. Not very typical of me: generally would not be true of you. Somewhat typical of me: true of you about half of the time. Fairly typical of me: generally true of you. Very much typical of me: true of you most of the time 8. LASSI Assessment 9. Results After completing all the items and successfullysubmitting the results, a two page report will bedisplayed. This report will include your scores for eachscale. You will also receive an explanation of yourresults. Print out a copy your results so that you maydiscuss with your instructor.
