Who were the Tudors?The Tudors were a Welsh-English family that ruled England and Wales form 1485 to 1603 – one of the most exciting periods of British history. Aragon• Catholic• Elizabeth’s half sister• 1553 became Queen Mary I• brutally persecuted protestants• Married Philip the Prince of Spain• Earned the name “Bloody Mary”• Died in 1558
