The units differ from the compact units in Print No. 12 in having a safety diaphragm. This removes the need for the connection of breather and vent lines.Therefore the units also have no SBV safety relief valve.

Construction of the regulators is as per the corresponding types without safety diaphragm in the diagram on pages 8/9 in Print No. 12. (Max. inlet pressure 1 bar!).

The dimensions of the regulators are the same as those of the regulators without safety diaphragm.

Note: The pressure regulators 06/1S to 09/1S are fitted as standard with springs for an outlet pressure of 30 - 70 mbar (orange spring).The pressure regulators 1/1S to 4/1S are fitted as standard with springs for an outlet pressure of 70 - 140 mbar (black spring).

The units have an integrated SAV shut off valve with an upper and lower release. Therefore the SAV is closed on delivery. In order to be able to reset theSAV, the regulator must be under pressure. Upper settings range: 140 - 400 mbar, preset to 350 mbar, green springLower setting range: 8 - 50 mbar, preset to 8 mbar, red springThe units have an external impulse line for the SAV and regulator. The SBV is integrated, switch point 30 mbar above the control pressure.

The principle notes on installing, setting and operating the units can also be taken from Print No. 12.

The SAV SL-IZN.1 is equipped with a breather port (1/4”) which must be connected with a ø 12 line to the regulator’s breather line or the vent line connection of the SBV.

Please note that, due to the max. permissible operationaloverpressure of various valve train parts, the control pressure of 350 mbar must not be exceeded, even if thespring range of the regulator springs permit it. The switchoff pressure of the SAV is set to 500 mbar as standard,which represents the max. permissible switch offpressure.

Note The RR16… regulator is fitted with an integrated SAV with safety diaphragm (SL-IZN.1). Green spring, setting range 200 - 800 mbar (set to 500 mbar as standard). For increased control pressures the springs listed in the table below should also be ordered.

The RBE4020 regulator is fitted with an integrated SAV with safety diaphragm (SAV022-1). Black spring, setting range 350 mbar - 1 bar (set to 500 mbar as standard). For increased control pressures the springs listed in the table below should also be ordered.

Both regulators are fitted with an integrated SBV275D safety vent valve. Black spring with setting range 150 – 500 mbar (set to 430 mbar as standard).

Included in delivery: 1 pressure regulator with safety shut off valve SAV, 1 safety vent valve, 1 inlet pressure gauge with ball valve, 1 outlet pressuregauge with ball valve, stabilising line with connections and control line for the regulator and SAV, connection pieces.

Unit supplied fully assembled and pressure tested.
