Critically acclaimed Nicolai Houm is poised to make a splashwith this exceptionally original and successful attempt towrite the great Norwegian novel.

Te wide-reaching, epic narrative ollows the Lindberg amilyrom the 1960s to the present. An elegant jump in time allowsus to get to know Arne Lindberg, a businessman who is at times

sorely tested, his wie Elise, and the childhoods and later thecareers o their three children: Ambitious author and surer,Joachim; ballet dancer and rebel, Tea; and ever-doubting armychaplain, Christoffer.

Te Lindberg amily serves as the epicenter o Houms vividportrayal o a Norway thats continually changing, rom theknowledge revolution and student lie o the 1960s, throughthe new wealth and Blitz concerts o the 1980s, to Aghanistanand the new opera house in the 2000s. But the people andthe stormy relationships between them are always ront and

    center in the story.

A amily saga, knstlerroman, portrait o a post modern society, and love story filled with humor, grie, despair, and hope, am-ily ties, betrayals, and suspense, Heres Whats Wrong With theLindbergsis in every sense a great novel.
