In February, St. Mary’s 8th grade went to Meridian Village to witness Pete Meierant, 101-year-old WWII veteran, receive the French Legion of Honor medal.
The ceremony was interesting and emotional. According to the delegate from France, the French government is still and will always be indebted to our
country and veterans such as Mr. Meierant for “changing the course of history.”
