INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS
Swimming Millie Sansome (Y10, T4) attended an England Talent Programme in December and has been selected for Phase 3. She is the first swimmer from Wycombe District Swimming Club that has ever made it to Phase 3, which means she will attend an England training camp and competition in Majorca in May. Millie will be competing in open water swimming, racing 1.5, 5 and 7K.
Football Hannah Dawbarn (Y9 T2), plays for Arsenal Ladies U15 Football team who recently beat their main rivals Chelsea 4-1. A great result. She was also lucky enough to meet John Terry after the match too. Hannah is off to Dallas, Texas, for a tournament at the end of the month, best of luck.
Athletics Lilli Clark-Pratt (Y8 T6) enjoyed success at a recent South of
England competition coming 4th in U15 high jump at the age of
13. Well done Lilli.
TEAM SUCCESS
Netball The Netball season has been very successful this year with
more players than ever playing the game!
117 games played
15 teams
6 age groups
171 players involved
U14 A Team
The most successful team in WHS history reached the Regional
Finals in the National Schools Championships and placed 4th
after just missing out on a semi-final place. They were also
runners up in the County and District Championships, narrowly
missing out on 1st place in both competitions. The team were
league winners in the District competition winning all 6 of their
games! A fantastic effort from the players and thanks to their
wonderful coaches, Mrs Grey and Mrs Lister.
U13 A team
Having won both the Districts and League last year, the team
narrowly came runners up in the District Championships on a
goal difference of just 2! They are, however, league winners in
the District winning all 7 of their league games. Well done!
Ultimate Frisbee After 2 selection weekends 5 of our players have qualified for
the GB under 20 Ultimate Frisbee Team and one for the U17
Team! Congratulations to Emilia Gaca Y13 B9, Ciara Bignel
Y13 A1, Freya Elliot Y12 P6, Tabi Caroe Y13 B5, Katie Parry
Y12 C10 and Dana Issa Y10 A9. That's six players out of a
squad of 24 from WHS heading to Poland in August for an
international tournament
Squash
Congratulations to the U15 and U19 Squash Teams who
finished 4th and 8th respectively in the National Schools Finals
in Nottingham. An incredible achievement.
