Will heat and cool the house

Heat from the earth’s crust, taken out through pipes

Replaces a gas or electric heater

Green Living Roof

Flat Green roof, conventional roofing

Is vegetation planted over a waterproofing membrane

Provides insulation and creates habitats for wildlife.

Reduces Cooling by 50-90%, and also reduces storm water runoff

Very little maintenance

Tankless Water Heater

Will provide building with all hot water

Replaces gas or electric water heater

It is energy saving Saves $70-$80 per year

Creates a continuous flow of hot water Runs trough a heat exchanges

2-3 Pane Windows

Windows with 2-3 panes of glass

Replaces normal one pane glass windows

Good for keeping heat and cool air in

Nothing to Maintain

Hydrogen Fuel Cells

How it works They separate hydrogen from anything that has

hydrogen in it. Separates with electricity Hydrogen electrons go around the membrane

and it creates electricity

Advantages and Disadvantages

Disadvantage Gives off water, is really expensive, wears out

fast

Advantages Can use anything thing that has Hydrogen in it

For the future because they need to find a way to create electricity without it creating pollution and it being less expensive

Outside Design

Facing the south

Windows around the building 360 degrees

Top of the building has a window in the center with green living roof

The building will be white to keep out heat

Inside Design

Balcony around top for teaching and work spaces

Tables around bottom for lab space

Around the bottom walls are storage spaces and sinks

Waste disposal

The old wood will be used for trails in Robbins park
