Major Functions

Overall Management of all Quality Related activities at both Corporate and Sites

level.

Ensure that the Client’s requirements on Quality Assurance and Control are

fulfilled.

Ensure that the work is being carried out at the projects as per the Company

Quality Manual, Quality Assurance Procedures and the company quality policy.

Ensure better output from the Quality Department by keeping always in mind the

cost and time impact.

Specific responsibilities

Organize and setup a Quality Control Team in every project in co-ordination

with Projects QA/QC Manger, Corporate QA/QC Manager and the project

Director / Manager.

Nominate the best among the team as a Team Leader to establish a single point

contact to address and resolve quality issues.

Mobilization and De-mobilization of QC staff depending upon the project

requirements in co-ordination with Projects QA/QC Mangers & Corporate

QA/QC Manager & the Projects Directors / Managers.

Creating Quality Awareness for all Site Personnel from time to time.

Evaluations and Appraisals of QC Team members as required by the company.

Attend internal and external meetings as & when required.

Reply to Client/Consultant/Main Contractor correspondences related to

inspection and Quality Control issues contractually.

Record & address customer complaints and customer feedbacks.

To carry out surveillance site visits to ensure quality workmanship.

Follow up internal & external quality audits for all the company Departments.

Periodical review of company’s procedures in line with the actual requirements

of the Division and propose suitable changes/amendments for the company

Senior Management approval.

To take necessary preventive measures to avoid/minimize the nonconformances

at Projects Sites.

Close co-ordination with all Projects Directors / Managers for effective Quality

System implementation.

Prepare for internal/external audits at project sites and ensure updating of all

relevant documents and close out of the observation/non-conformances raised

during the audits.

Ensure that there is no communication gap between the construction and quality

departments by conducting short meetings as & when required.

To co-ordinate with the Consultant/Main Contractor for smooth and speedy

inspections and approval process by creating good relationship and trust.

Ensure maintaining close monitoring for projects quality statistics and follow up

any problems by taking the necessary measures to correct any deviations or

nonconformities with the company targets or quality policy.

Maintaining lessons learned log and Quality Risk Register for the company

project.

Ensure that all works conducted are congruent with the client’s contractual

requirements.

Create an appropriate inspection test plan in coordination with CM and the

Project Manager.

Report to the Project Manager on all aspects of the project’s QC status.

Accurately document all QC technical issues in order to facilitate the submission

of method statements, inspection and test plans, etc. to the client for approval.
