King came to Organa Brands after working for GlobeImmune, Inc.,
for 11 years. In addition, he conductedresearch at Harvard
niversity, !chleicher and !chuell "#hatman$ Keene, and !e%uitur
Inc.
King said he &oined a mari&uana com'any because of the
fascinating o''ortunities for thera'eutics ()* in a
fast growing industry with wide window to make an im'act in
human health. His current goals for Organa +abs
are to im'rove the 'rocesses and ca'abilities of the oils,
enable detailed analyses, %uality monitoring, and new
'roduct develo'ment
He su'ervises a team of five scientists who share the belief
that by bringing solid science to the industry, theirwork will fuel
mari&uana legaliation. King said he believes his team will be
one of the first cannabis com'anies
to discover and 'ro'el human cannabinoid-based thera'eutics into

His team is currently setting u' a 'reclinical thera'eutics
develo'ment laboratory to i$ discover new biologicalactivities of
cannabinoids, ii$ im'rove their in vivo delivery2'harmacokinetics,
and eventually, iii$ im'lement*/-regulated human clinical trials of
cannabinoids and their derivatives for the treatment of cancer and
