Approach Directly off main road down a narrow walled driveway. The entrance to the lighthouse complex is directly in front of you. Take immediate right turn and then left down past the front of the cottages to the designated parking space in front of you. The driveway is cobbled, leading to tarmac surface. Arrival & Parking Facilities A designated parking space 15 metres from the door of the cottage.

Introduction • Keepers 2 is a two bedroom cottage on two floors• Both bedrooms are on the 1st Floor• Bathroom with shower over bath, wash hand basin and WC are on ground floor• Located on the South side of Souter Lighthouse with separate private entrance• Change of level with in ground floor step – one step down into bathroom.• Cottage is adjacent to Keepers 1

The Cottage is arranged as follows:

Ground Floor: • Entrance porch, hallway leading to sitting room, kitchen and bathroom.

First Floor • Two bedrooms – one double and one twin bedroom

Approach • Directly off main road down a narrow walled

Getting in (and out) of the cottage • One stone step (150mm) high into the porch • One stone step (130mm) into the hallway • Clear open width of front door is (830mm) • Clear open width of inner door is (750mm) • 90 degree left turn immediately with front door to inner

door into cottage

Getting around the cottage Ground floor • Ground floor is level with in the inner door to sitting room,

kitchen and entrance hall. One step down into the bathroom (180mm)

• Flooring is a mixture of coir matting, stone floor with rugs, vinyl in kitchen and bathroom areas and fitted carpets to stairs, bedrooms and sitting room

• Circulation space is reasonable on both floors • 10 Stairs to a two tiered half landing with 180 degree turn

and a further 3 stairs to top landing. First floor • All on same level

Kitchen • Kitchen is a mixture of freestanding units, a table and chairs and some built in cupboards • Height of worktop is 920mm • Freestanding electric stove • Microwave, fridge, separate freezer, washer/dryer machine, toaster and cordless kettle • Cross head taps to sink • One overhead light • Kitchen table 750mm high with 600mm clear kneespace underneath • Four wooden chairs

Bathroom • WC, basin and bath with shower over • The WC is 420mm high • Bath is 1600mm long, 500mm high and 600mm

wide • The bath has small internal grab handles to both

sides • Basin is 790mm high

Sitting Room • Door into sitting room is 840mm wide • 1 x 2 seater sofa 420mm seat height • 2 x wing backed armchairs 450mm seat height • TV & DVD & CD Player • Central light and one floor lamp and one table lamp

Twin Bedroom • Spacious light room with sea view. • Door 800mm wide • Beds 915mm wide and 1830mm long with

wooden headboards firm mattresses • Height on top of mattress is 670mm • A bedside cabinet in between single beds • Two lamps on bedside table • Free standing Victorian wash stand and chair

Double Bedroom • Spacious room with sea view• Door 800mm wide• Kingsize wooden bed 1980mm long and

1520mm wide with headboard and footboard• Height to top of mattress is 660mm• Bedside cabinets on either side• Lamps on bedside cabinets• Free standing furniture includes chair,

wardrobe and chest of drawers

Garden • Enclosed garden for sole use of the guests, to the front of the cottage with sea views and

picnic bench

Additional Information • Dogs are welcome.• In the event of a fire, it is the responsibility of the guests to evacuate themselves. Vibrating

fire/smoke detectors are available if requested at time of booking. Please contact us if youhave any other specific access requirements in this respect.

Facilities at all cottages The National Trust aims to expand the list of accessible /equipment/items available at each cottage and these may include
