Role of the MCVP ICX/BD Position Description The MCVP ICX/BD is responsible for realizing exchanges with national TN takers, managing all national partners, developing the national product portfolio, delivering our national products, and facilitating the education and execution of LC incoming exchanges. Role of the MCVP TMPosition Description

Development and growth of the expansions and official LCs in Ireland by ensuring an aligned local and national plan.

Monitor the engagement and development of the members, leaders, integrated and reintegrated EPs in the organization by the implementation of a conscious national education cycle, expansion strategy and LC development strategy.

Communicate continuously with the MCVP OGX and MCVP Communications regarding the local activities and branding of AIESEC at a local level.

1. Plan an oGCDP summer recruitment to achieve 600 sign-ups with 60 Applicants during the months of February and March, having 3 LCs and 2 expansions. Considering the Irish market (profile, culture, student market, competitors), please describe the feasibility of the three oGIP subproducts (teaching, Marketing and IT). 1. Choose and explain 3 key focuses for your term as MCVP Marketing & Communications. Be specific on why they are a priority, how they are going to be implemented and what expected outcomes are. Please consider numerical indicators. Take two scenarios into consideration: (1) You have local members to work with and (2) You don’t. 2. Present the strengths and weaknesses of AIESEC Ireland’s current online and offline positioning! What would be 3 action steps that you would take in order to improve the current situation? Please name the main stakeholders and the channels you would use to reach them. 3. How do you see your collaboration with the other functional areas? What would be 3 initiatives from your side that would increase performance in each area? 4. Imagine that we will run a Volunteer Abroad recruitment campaign to raise EPs to match with Asia Pacific: Design a brand for this recruitment (message, poster, flyer, social media materials etc)! Please explain what would be the most effective strategy to promote this recruitment and name the channels that you would use! Take two scenarios into consideration: (1) You have local members to work with and (2) You don’t. 5. Please Identify 2 global best cases practices for Marketing B2B and explain your strategy to implement them for AIESEC in Ireland 6. Currently, the monthly traffic to AIESEC in Ireland’s Website is on average, about 1250 visitors. Please outline 2-4 initiatives that could be implemented to double this number.

General Information The living allowance for MC members is 250 EUR/month with accommodation, transportation and conference costs covered if financial conditions allow it. The MC team lives and works together in a three room flat in the Dublin 3 area, in walking distance from the city centre. AIESEC in Ireland became a member of the AIESEC network in 1959, interrupted by a shutdown period in 2008-2010 and currently holds the global membership status of Entity in Debt. As an organization we are accountable to the Board of Directors, which consists of Michael McKiernan (since 2001, former MC VP in Ireland 1995-1996) and Andrea Orosz (since 2013, former MCP in Ireland 2012-2013). We also have a Board of Advisors which consist of AIESEC alumni and professionals in HR, law, PR and consultancy.

Application Process The application form is the main opportunity you will have to present yourself to all the members of AIESEC in Ireland. You are free to design the application as you wish as long as it is A4 size and printable in black ink. It is useful to remember that LCs will be reading through your application, so you should consider the readability and length of your application carefully. Your MCVP application must be emailed to [email protected] and [email protected] by 11.59 PM GMT on January 31. You will receive email confirmation of the receipt of your application within 24 hours of submission. In order to apply, you must submit an application in the form of a single .pdf file. The application must include all of the following sections: Section 1 – Video: An URL link to your video platform (max. 4 min) must be included in your application. The video should introduce yourself as an applicant and give a comprehensive overview of your application. Section 2 – Executive Summary: The executive summary should allow easy understanding of your applications’ essence and may be no longer than one page. Section 3 - Questionnaire: The completed questionnaire may be no longer than 10 pages (excluding the cover page) and minimum 10-point font. You must answer at least 5 Function specific Questions, the remaining are optional. Your answers should assist the LCs in understanding your aims for AIESEC, the areas that you would like to focus on, your reasons for standing and your personality/working style. Section 4 - Resume/CV: Your CV may be no longer than one page. Section 5 - Three Endorsement Letters: This must include one endorsement from your home entity (Irish applicants: current or former LCP of your home LC; international applicants: current or former MCP or MCVP of your home entity), one endorsement from an AIESEC in Ireland LCP (international applicants only) and one endorsement from an external (no recent AIESEC alumni). Endorsements should include contact information for the endorser. Current AIESEC in Ireland MC members will not provide endorsement letters to any candidate. Application submitted without proper endorsements will be considered incomplete. Section 6 – Book an interview time: Book a time during the week of Feb 1st at mikekarr.youcanbook.me

Election Process

The election process will take place as detailed below: All full-member Local Committees will be able to vote in the Vote of Confidence on February 2nd. The vote will be cast by the respective Local Committee President (or a suitable Proxy). The Local Committee Presidents will be strongly advised to consider the views of all Local Committee members when casting their votes. Candidates failing to receive a majority vote on the Vote of Confidence will not be considered for selection. Applicants who pass the Vote of Confidence will be notified by Mike Karr, and have an interview time set during the week of February 1 – 7. First round selections will be decided by February 8th. More details will be provided to the candidates after the submission of the application. Responsibilities after the Selection The MCVP-elects will be required to begin virtual transition in March. This includes functional transition and more. The MCVP elects are encouraged to attend EuroXpro in April, although it is not absolutely required. The MCVP elects are required to start the physical transition in Dublin no later than June 1st, 2015.
