MCP ProfileOrganisational understanding

As MCP you need to have a good understanding of the purpose and context of the organisation. A deep understanding of the AIESEC way and the way the functional areas work together towards achieving the same goal, in order to be able to establish the organisation with a strong foundation for coming years.

team management experience

As the leader of the organisation, you are responsible for managing the MC team and therefore you will have to show and prove your capacity to lead, coach and guide all the people towards our goal achievement and fulfilling the purpose of AIESEC in Bangladesh while delivering unique team experiences for the first time in the country.

external awareness

One of your major role as MCP is to spot global and local trends that you can connect to our activities and that ensure relevance. Therefore you need to show a clear understanding of the social and economic context of the country and have the capacity to understand and facilitate the evolution of our organisation in our context. Also establish Government and Non-Government relations and ensure proper legal establishment for AIESEC to be present.

product understanding

You need to be able to spot and evaluate our different stakeholders` needs in order to be able to choose the right market segments we should focus our operations on. You need to be able to develop new products and constantly improve the current ones.

global network understanding

As MCP you are the principal ambassador of the entity in the global network – by participating in international meetings, legislation meetings or different AI support teams. Therefore you need to understand our global context and our international direction and prove your capacity to improve our image in the global network.

previous experience

It is favourable to have had an LCP or an MC experience previous to the MCP one.

DETAILSIn general, the MC term requires full commitment as a full-time job, and a lot of representative appearances such as international conferences, national conferences and MC related events which takes time from working on priorities. Averagely you can expect 55-60 hours work per week, which can be higher around special events and lower in calmer periods. As an MCP, it is good to know that due to the representation to international level, you will spend more than 1,5 months abroad – you should consider how to solve these periods regarding your studies and other commitments. As MCP elect, the following events will require extra time and effort from you until your term:

IC2015 – August 2015, INDIA MCVP Selections - September 2015 MCP Elections 2016 IPM 2016 - February 2016,

MC salary and reimbursement: The salary in MC is 200 USD, but the salary can fluctuate according to the MC capacity to generate revenue Accommodation is supported from the MC budget of AIESEC India. Payment is usually in the first week of the month. It is advisable to also have your own source for revenue in case the MC might face financial problems Delegate fee and travel fee for conferences, where the presence of the MCP is required, is supported by AIESEC in India. VISA for MCP is covered Apart from that, no other costs are covered (insurance, public transport, global village, other expenses). Working space is provided

To overlook strategy development processes within the National Office and at the national level to ensure the establishment, development, relevance, and competitiveness of the organisation in the short and long term internally and externally.

To facilitate and guide the planning process (along with the strategy responsible(s) on the team) within the national team for the development and implementation of year priorities, initiation of local offices in order to start operations.

To represent AIESEC Bangladesh at global, national and external events to enhance the credibility of AIESEC and challenge the performance and relevance of our activities.

To take an active role at the international level in discussions of a strategic nature (e.g. global teams and conferences) and ensure that AIESEC Bangladesh’s opinions are well represented, while still playing as utmost priority the role you are required to play in the team or conference.

To strengthen the management of the National Office to ensure efficiency, accountability and sustainability of operations.

To establish Board of Advisors and setup a key relationship with all stakeholders.

To act as the key organisational spokesperson.
