TBD

2014 was a great year for Callonwood. We spruced

up the neighborhood, had some new LED lighting

installed at our entrances and around the pool, enjoyed

the first year of our swim team (which was a great

success), and FINALLY had our new signs approved and

installed!!!

I want to personally thank everyone that was

involved with the sign project which goes back many

years. Some people that worked on the project don't even

live in the neighborhood any more. I believe the new signs

show the great character we have in our community. We

still have some lighting and landscaping to finish and that

will be completed very soon.

2015 is shaping up to be another great year as well.

The neighborhood is very stable right now with only 7

properties actively for sale in the entire neighborhood! I

hope that means that our homeowners are happy here.

We will also continue to modernize the lighting in

the neighborhood to LED to save energy, keep up with the

pine straw to keep the grounds looking great, along with

finding new ways for our residents to use our community

space with their families.

I want to encourage people to get involved in the

community as well. Please browse the website and feel free

to ask questions through the site and participate in the

great things we have going in the neighborhood.

As always, please be mindful while in the

neighborhood in all that you do: Pick up after your pets,

Watch your speed, Trim your trees, Pull your trash cans in

as soon as you can, but most importantly- please ENJOY

Callonwood!!!

CALLONWOOD NON-COMPETITIVE

2015 SWIM TEAM Hi Swim Families! We are very excited to start swim practice on May 18th with assessments for all new registrants! As a reminder each swimmer must be 6 years old by June 1. (If you were at most of the practices last year, you will not need an assessment.) >Full practice for all swimmers will start on MAY 19th I am happy to advise you that Becca O’Donohue will return as one our coaches to assist me. We would love to enlist more instructional volunteers if you have experience as a coach, swim team member, or life guard and would like to be more involved please let me know asap. Prior to school being out, we will practice Tuesday-Thursday nights from 7 PM to 8 PM. Once school is out we will switch to a morning split-schedule with one group at 8 AM to 9 AM and the other group from 9 AM to 10 AM. Registration is $50 each for the first child, $40 for the second child, and $35 for each child after that. Important NO CASH. Checks should be made out to Callonwood HOA. Registration forms will also be available on the website. Finally, swim team is not swim lessons. The coaches will teach strokes and technique. Each child should be able to swim at least the 25 yard length of the pool unassisted, with a standard stroke, and without touching the bottom. Following the swim assessments, coaches will look at alternatives for children who may need swim lessons. The swim team party and swim meet will be held on Thursday, June 25th from 6-9:00 pm. The pool will be closed to non-swim team residents during those hours. Please let me know if you have any questions and we look forward to working with your children this year. Thanks, Mike Thrower Cell Phone: 704-491-2536, Email: [email protected]

at the clubhouse and landscaping with

newer energy efficient bulbs.

Please report all maintenance concerns to

[email protected].

This includes street lighting. We can flag

the pole and notify the proper power

company. Thank you, ~ Mark Ravan

CALLONWOOD – KEEP US BEAUTIFUL!

Remember: Callonwood is a planned community and has Covenants and Restrictions ( CCR's) to protect the neighborhood. Bound by these covenants, ARC is a volunteer committee that is responsible to maintain the collective neighbor-hood aesthetics through the supervision of all exterior projects both in Single Family Residences & Townhomes. As a homeowner, you are responsible for reading the CCR's and the Guidelines. These are available on the Callonwood website or the Cedar Management website. In doing so.... * You will learn all projects must have ARC approval before the work begins. The forms are on the websites. * You will learn about how to make a request for an exterior change in/on your property before you begin...home, landscaping, fence, sports equipment just to name a few. * You will learn about garbage cans, a source of keeping the neighborhood a mess. It is simple OUT on the day before pick-up and BACK in on the day of day of pick-up. Nobody wants to see your garbage or recycling cans out and about. Remember it takes all of us to make Callowood a special place to live.

The Callonwood ARC committee ([email protected])

Janice Kistler Chairman Townhome residents, please be aware that Cedar Management, not First Residential, administers the ARC process. The ARC is Master Association function per the CCRs.
