Theories & methods involved PresentationRationaleTeacher introduces pronouns by using realia as well as calling pupils to the front of the class and demonstrating based on them. E.g he, she, they, we, it.Teacher pastes pictures on whiteboard of things and people to revise pronouns with pupils.

Cognitivism

Teacher demonstrates and pupils think and create knowledge by themsleves.Pupils remember what they learnt by revising with teacher.

Method: Direct Method

PracticeRationalePupils play a game, First come, fast do.Pupils are divided into groups and each group has a box of pronouns.Teacher pastes first sentence without a pronoun on the whiteboard.Pupils read the sentence, discuss with their group mates and find the answer in the box. A representative pastes the answer on the whiteboard. The fastest one will be able to paste.Game is repeated with 10 sentences.

Cognitivism

Pupils participate and are actively involved in lesson.

Social constructivism

Pupils work in groups and discuss answers with friends.

Method: Total Physical Response

ProductionRationalePupils carry out a treasure hunt in their groups.Pupils move in their groups from one checkpoint to another.Pupils take only the sentence strips with the colour of their group.Pupils change the sentences from nouns to pronouns. E.g, This a cat. The cat likes to eat fish. is changed to This is a cat. It likes to eat fish.The group who finishes the fastest with the most correct answers wins.
