LE-Ka1330304Q GaAs PHEMT MMIC Voltage Controlled Oscillator, QFN, 23.8-25 GHz

Overview

LE-Ka1330304Q is a PHEMT MMIC Voltage Controlled Oscillator mounted within

a QFN package. By varying the tuning voltage between 0.4 and 1.6V, frequencies

from 23.8GHz to 25GHz can be covered. The LE-Ka1330304Q provides a constant

14dBm output power over all tuning voltages, and runs from a 3V supply with currents

<115mA. With an integrated frequency divider, LE-Ka1330304Q also provides an

additional output signal at F/2, with power levels reaching >3dBm for simple adoption

into PLL circuitry.

By coming within a 6 x 5mm QFN package, the device offers excellent RF performance

and is fully RoHS compliant.

The LE-Ka1310304 MMIC is available as a bare die version of this part.

NotesThe tests indicated have all been performed with 100pF de-coupling capacitors on all bias pads. All tests are carried out at 25°C. *Should be adjusted to ensure the correct current is drawn for the F/2 amplifier

This device contains gallium arsenide (GaAs) which can be hazardous to the human

body and the environment and so care must be taken when using. The packaged

product provided is a surface mount package compatible with high volume solder

installation. However care must be taken so that heavy pressure is not applied to the

top or base of the package, to avoid damage.

Pick and place equipment or vacuum tools may be used to pick and place this part, but

care should be taken to ensure that there are no ‘solder voids’ or gaps in the RF, dc or

ground connections. Voids or gaps lead not only to reduced RF performance, but also

to reduced reliability and life due to thermal stress.
