2019 - Our Faithful Departed - 2020

During November, as in all of Ordinary Time (Time After Pentecost), the Liturgy signifies and expresses the regenerated life from the coming of the Holy Spirit, which is to be spent on the model of Christ's Life and under the direction of His Spirit. As we come to the end of the Church year we are asked to consider the end times, our

own as well as the world's. The culmination of the liturgical year is the Feast of Christ the King. "This feast asserts the supreme authority of Christ over human beings and their institutions....

Beyond it we see Advent dawning with its perspective of the Lord's coming in glory."

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeMonthly Service Theme for November

Thankfulness and GratitudeHRCW are starting a new monthly service theme, and this is one part of it.

“And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called into one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, signing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving

thanks to God the Father through him.”Colossians 3:15-17

Friends in Christ, Let us be thankful for every single blessed day and show our gratitude to God by: thanks-thinking, thanks-saying, and thanks-giving!

Family Promise Meal Hosting Success

On behalf of Carol Kelley, our Family Promise Host Coordinator, we would like to extend an abundance of gratitude to all our parishioners who gave their time and talent to provide meals for

the families of Family Promise. Our parish family really stepped up and were so amazing in making sure those families didn't go hungry during the week we hosted.

Parish & Community News

Walking With Moms in Need: A Year of ServicePregnant and parenting moms in need are in our parishes and our neighborhoods. As Pope Francis

reminds us, our parishes need to be "islands of mercy in the midst of the sea of indifference." Everyone in our parish community should know where to refer a pregnant woman in need.

In order to assess, expand, and better communicate resources to local pregnant moms and families in need, our parish is joining a nationwide effort that began March 25, 2020 and runs through

March 25, 2021 entitled: "Walking with Moms in Need: A Year of Service."

We invite all parishioners to join us as we embark on this Year of Service

For more information, and to ensure you receive news and updates, please contact Wendy Stark

Prayer for Pregnant Mothers

O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your son, with faith and trust.Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.

Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and assistance for mothers in need.Help us become instruments of God's love and compassion.

Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and love of life.

Ameneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

God of Widom and hope, In the dark of night and light of day you call us, through your word and presence, to serve as your disciples.

We thank you for Your Word which shapes the lives and hearts of all believers. We thank you for your abiding presence through The Holy Spirit which brings wisdom to our minds and hope to our hearts. Grant that through your kindsness and mercy we may be witnesses of Your abundant grace, stewards

of Your merciful love and disciples of Your charity, justice and hope. Through Christ our Lord, Amen
