CONDITIONS OF PLAY• The Committee reserves the right to alter, postpone or

cancel any event listed in this fixture book.

• The Course Director and Club Captain reserve the right to close the course when play may be detrimental to the condition of the course.

• Players are required to return all competition cards for handicapping purposes.

• All fees to be paid before playing.

• Non-financial members are not eligible to win competitions.

• No player may win more than one major trophy in any one competition.

• Ties in all Club events, except Championships, will be decided on count back.

POINTS TO REMEMBER• The enjoyment of Golf depends largely on the

courtesy and consideration extended to your fellow competitors.

• All players must observe the etiquette of Golf and should become familiar with the rules of Golf.

• Check local rules and any special conditions of play on the notice boards in the Club House.

• It is the players responsibility to ensure their handicap is correct before commencing play.

• Before handing in your card, check it is completed, ensure it is signed by yourself and your marker.

• Players are requested to take a sand bucket to replace and repair all divots, rake out bunkers and replace rakes correctly in bunkers.

• Slow players must call faster players through when there is one clear fairway ahead.

HANDICAPS & COMPETITIONSSINGLE STROKE: Men’s and Ladies and Match Play. Full Handicap applies.

SINGLE STABLEFORD, 4BBB, V PAR, FLAG, BISQUE: Men’s and Ladies. Full handicap applies.

FOURSOMES: Men’s and Ladies. Two players play as partners and use one ball. The partners strike the ball alternately from the tee and thereafter strike the ball alternately during the play of each hole. (Penalties do not affect the order of play.) Half combined handicap applies.

MIXED FOURSOMES: Mixed Foursomes are played in the same manner as Foursomes, except that the women use their own tees and observe their own local rules when it is their turn to play. Half combined handicap applies.

CANADIAN FOURSOMES: This event is played as per a Foursomes event except that both players play tee shots at every hole and afterwards continue with whichever ball they nominate, with the partner playing the second shot. Half combined handicap applies.

AMERICAN FOURSOMES: Both players play tee shots at each hole, and then play a second stroke with their partner’s ball. One ball is then selected and play proceeds as in Foursomes with the owner of the ball selected playing the third stroke. 3/8 combined handicap applies.

CHAPMAN FOURSOMES: Both players play tee shots at each hole, and then play a second shot with their own ball. One ball is then selected and play proceeds as in Foursomes with the partner playing the third shot. Half combined handicap applies.

ECLECTIC: Competitors play two or more rounds and the eclectic score is the lowest score obtained at each hole on the rounds. Half handicap applies.

AMBROSE: This event can be played as a two, three or four person event. Each player plays a tee shot at each hole. The Captain then selects the best drive which is then played by its owner. The other members retrieve their balls and in turn drop within one club length of the selected position and play their second shots. This procedure of selecting the best position continues until the ball is holed. 2 person event – 1/4 combined handicap; 3 person event – 1/6 combined handicap; 4 person event – 1/8 combined handicap.
