Thursday Night Home GroupsThursdays at 7 PM New series on “Who is God?” where we look at how his character changes us. Will meet at the church (Room 129).

Kickball and MoreSunday, April 4 at 2 PM. Will meet in the field next to Eastmont (Bowling Green side).

Inviting someone to church really makes a difference. When I was eleven, some kids from church came to my house with boiled shrimp. They came to invite me to a mission study of the Louisiana Bayou. I had never eaten boiled shrimp before. They were delicious! I enjoyed the shrimp, but I needed the visit even more. Somebody actually cared about me spiritually. Inviting someone to Easter Services, Passion Play or even our Backpack Baptism can make an eternal difference.

This years’ Backpack Baptism will be one week after Easter on April 3 at 5 PM. Anyone twelve or older can just show up and be baptized. Our only requirement is that you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. I will be glad to baptize someone under twelve provided one of our ministers or a parent has discussed their salvation with them.

Here is what you need to bring with you on April 3:• Your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.• Arrive by 4:30 PM wearing what you will be baptized

in. A dark t-shirt and long pants is fine. The service starts at 5 PM.

• Bring some clothes to wear home and a towel.• Bring your family and friends to celebrate with you.

Here is what you will NOT need that evening:• A counseling appointment is not required.• A walk down the aisle is not necessarry - the baptism

itself is your profession of faith.• Please no one under twelve is to be baptized unless

we have talked with them first. (we want to make sure children are old enough to understand the meaning)

• Church membership is not required, although you are welcome to join Eastmont.

• No more guilt for not being baptized.

Last week while traveling, I was overwhelmed with a greater sense of love for you. It is a great honor to serve alongside you all these years. I am blessed beyond measure to be at such a caring church. You have constantly shown the love of Christ. Your sacrifice is amazing. Your giving is inspiring. Your joy is contagious. Thank you for being the church of my dreams.
