GA MINISTRY PROJECT REPORTGAs in Grades 3-6 participated in a special ministryproject at Project Hope this past Saturday. About 30girls and parents helped sort through clothes, shoesand books, and also made ministry bags that can beused in the ministry there. This is real missionsin ACTION! Way to go, girls!!

Casual dress, but not casual worship. That is what Iam telling those I invite to church at Eastmont. Ivebeen going door to door in our church neighborhood andinviting people to be here at Eastmont. Here is whatIve noticed, almost all the men I invite dont own a suit.

Those who do own one tell me, I cant wear it

anymore, I think it shrunk. So I tell them that most ofour men dont wear ties. We believe in casual dress, butnot casual worship. I also mention there is sloppycasual and nice casual. The latter works best for most ofEastmont. By the way I counted four of those neighborsthere at the Easter drama.

Easter Sundays worship service will includewonderful songs of praise, baptism of four newconverts, childrens message, a generous offering toGod, prayer of confession and revival, and encouragingfellowship. My sermon will include the resurrection, but will mostly focus on our mission to the world around

us. While all scripture is essential, this message isspecifically needed. Satan has already put obstacles inmy way to prevent me from preaching it, so I desireyour interceding prayer. The scripture passage isColossians 4:2-6.

All people matter to God. That is why we do notexclude anyone from attending here. We just open ourdoors and whoever shows up is welcome. They come inall shapes, sizes, colors, and ages. We welcome: thelong hair, gray hair, and the no hair. The bifocals andthe contacts, the tattoos, and wrinkles. The startingstudent and the retired learner. I delight in the diversity

of it all.I remind you this is Gods church, not ours. Jesus

said, I will build my church. It belongs to Him.Humanly speaking, he has left running it up to us. Noneof us is as smart as all of us. That is why we havedeacons, ministry teams, and committees. No oneperson can do it all or should do it all. We honor Godbest when all share in the work. I work 50+hours eachweek, but that is a drop in the bucket compared to whatyou do. I am not a dictator, nor micromanager. Whenyou get great players on the team you let them use theirtalent. I pray earnestly for you and I ask God to direct

me as your shepherd. My ministry is to lead, feed, guard and guide. More than ever I encourage you tostay the course of doing your ministry. The Haitianshave a saying, Piti, piti, zwazo fe nich li- It meanslittle by little the bird builds his nest.

Parking will be tough on Easter, if your healthpermits, leave the parking spaces nearest the church forthose who have difficulty walking long distances

    Ill see you resurrection Sunday,
