Have you ever considered the many ways God has spoken to people? Just in the Bible there was a burning bush,a ladder to heaven, a mans donkey, graffiti on wall and a baby in Bethlehem. But the most common way is peopletalking to people. Thats how I first heard the gospel, and probably you too. Guess what? God still does it the sameway! If you are willing he can also speak through you.

When Billy Dickey and I were returning from a recent mission trip, I took a wrong turn. So I quoted a line fromYogi Berra We are lost, but we are making good time.

This has been a very busy summer. In a sense we are making great time, and we are even going in the rightdirection. There have been five mission teams sent out, over a dozen saved and an unusually high number of guests.Sunday night attendance has been a great surprise. Doxology!

Be a solution not just a complainer. I used to preach a lot of Aint it awful sermons, Those were sermons that

described how awful the world was but gave little solutions. People love those sermons cause it makes them feelsuperior to others. Yet few lives are ever improved by only complaining. Instead of cursing the darkness it is betterto light a candle. That is what Jesus did. He always gave people hope for a better life. He encouraged people whowere down. He forgave people who failed. I hope Eastmont will always help instead of hurt.

Ive been inspired by Mother Teresas life. She once said By blood and origin I am Albanian. My citizenship isin India. I am a Catholic nun. As to my calling, I belong to the whole world. As to my heart, I belong entirely toJesus. That should be our commitment too. Jesus is to be first.

    Ill see you Sunday,
