Ofen children write me notes during my sermon. Itreasure them
all. I received this one back in December. Dear Brother Mike. I
like your sermons.
Sometimes I listen. (I think a parent wrote itand put his kids
name on it.)
Whether you listen to sermons, songs, or Sunday Schoollessons,
it is most important to listen or Gods voice.I have worshipped in
thatch-rooed huts, communistcommunity centers, red bricked
buildings and majesticcathedrals. Location or architecture was not
important.What really mattered was I met God there. Many oyou have
commented how powerully rereshing ourtwo worship services are. I
agree and am glad you arelistening to God.
Did you know that one bee produces only 1/12
o a teaspoon o honey in her entire lietime.Tat is hardly enough
to sweeten a cup o tea. But acolony o bees can produce 60 pounds in
a season. Eachbee has a job. Worker bees collect the pollen.
Otherseed the queen. Some guard the hive, while otherscontrol the
temperature o the hive by flapping theirwings. Honeybees cant
survive on their own, muchless produce honey. We can learn a lot
rom honeybees.Tanks or serving the way you do. ogether we
areaccomplishing Gods purpose.
By now most o you know my passion or small groups.We call these
Sunday School at Eastmont. For anygroup to thrive three goals must
always be their ocus.1) o transorm lives through the Bible.2) Be a
caring, engaging community.3) Reach out to others.We really are
better together.
Tis Sunday night there will be no childrens activitiesat
Eastmont. We are giving our childrens workers arest and encouraging
amilies to simply be together.Adult classes may meet i they wish. I
will be starting a
class about the Feast of the Biblein room 205. You arewelcome to
join me at 5:00 PM
Wow! Nine children dedicated to the Lord last Sundaywas a record
or us. In addition, God has sent us a lot onew members. What a
great God we serve.
