Except or Easter, I believe this Sunday isthe most significant o our church year. Tis SundayI am asking you to join other Eastmont membersin renewing your commitment to be a disciple oChrist. Most o you do this privately on a regular

basis during your daily devotional time with God.I am glad you do. However, this Sunday, lets dothis together. Tere is something special andpowerul about a church declaring their unifiedlove or Christ. Just prior to my sermon we willpray together, ask God to help us and then placethe commitment cards on the altar. Remember wedo the possible, God does the impossible. By theway, unity really is important. A snowflake alone isnothing. But as we discovered this week, when youget enough o them together an entire state slows to

a crawl. wo o the preachers I admire rom the1700s are George Whitfield and John Wesley. Irecently re-read some accounts o their ministry.John Wesley is the most popular o the two andis the ounder o the Methodist denomination. (Ithink he was really a Baptist at heart) He servedover sixty- our years in active ministry. I oundthis motto o his that partly explains why he was soeffective. Do all the good you can

By all the means you can

In all the places you can

At all the times you can

o all the people you can

As long as you ever can.

When I brag on a certain ministry, otherministries might eel unappreciated. Nevertheless, Ihope we all agree that this church is only as strongas our prayer ministry. Whether you pray with asmall prayer group, or at home alone, or throughEastmonts organized prayer ministry, it is essentialthat we pray. I have heard it said, Tere is a time topray and a time to work. Yet I have discovered thatprayer is work. In act it is the first work you shoulddo beore any other is begun.

Te Lord willing I will see you Sunday,
