The Sacrament of the Sick Ideally celebrated in community, the Sacrament of the Sick will be Thursday, Oct 15, 2:30 pm. Those who are seriously ill, those of advanced age, those undergoing serious surgery or treatment and those in danger of death are invited. All who are baptized Catholics are candidates for the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Let us joyfully celebrate the healing of the Lord through His Church.

First Confession/First CommunionThe meeting for parents/guardians of students in grade 2 or older who plan to celebrate Reconciliation and Eucharist this school year, for the first time, is Wed. Life Chain: Sun. Oct. 4, 2:00 - 3:00 pm. The Annual Life Chain will be held across Canada. In Kingston, we will gather at the Newlands Pavilion (next to Murney Tower-King St.) at 1:45 pm. After opening prayers we will walk to King St. across from KGH where more than 35,000 preborn babies have been deliberately killed by abortion. Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada: Why is there such a collection? Every year the Bishops of Canada make an appeal for financial assistance to support their work and the work of each diocese by means of the Collection for the Needs of the Church in Canada. Support the Bishops in their local ministry and in working together on issues on common concern. Any additional revenues raised, help the diocese support its own diocesan pastoral programs and other activities. The CCCB is the national assembly of the Catholic Bishops in Canada, and includes the Bishops of the Eastern Catholic Churches.
