From the Commander
Greetings!
I hope all of you had a very good Thanksgiv-
ing holiday. We owe a BIG THANKS to the
Post cooking crew: Linda Humphrey and her
volunteers made our Veterans Day dinner a
spectacular success. We had a big turn-out for
the big spaghetti portions that were delicious,
too.
Linda Humphrey and her kitchen crew came
through again by organizing and presenting a
special Thanksgiving menu. The residents of
the Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home joined
the Post for this fine meal on Wednesday,
November 15th. Tim Ross and his Cooties

7:00 pm
From the Auxiliary President
Hello Auxiliary Members,
Life and Annual Memberships Cards are in the
Mail Please be advised the process for new Life
or Annual membership cards takes six to eight (6-8)
weeks from the time the payment has been received
at National Headquarters to the card arriving in the
hands of the member. We, as an Auxiliary, no long-
er mail the new cards as before; they all come from
National. So please be patient. When you, as a
member, send your dues in to our Auxiliary Treas-
urer, she marks our records that you have paid your
dues, then she sends the information to the Depart-
ment Treasurer who then submits it to National. It’s
the way National has decided to keep an account of
members paid. —continued on page 2—

From the Auxiliary President continued
The new Podium Edition By-laws and Ritual for 2018 are
out for order. This manual explains programs we do, how
the Auxiliary works, and helpful information on Auxiliaries
on all levels from Post level to National level. It also ex-
plains the duties of all officers. It is really a helpful source of
information. You can order the Podium either from National
Supply or let our Auxiliary Treasurer know. The cost is
$8.25 plus mailing and handling.
The children’s Christmas party is scheduled for
December 17, from 1-3 in the South room.
Santa promised to make an appearance. Again I am reminding all of you, we, the Auxiliary, are
looking for officers and new members for the incoming year
to be a part of this amazing organization. Be involved in the
rewarding work we do for our Veterans. Our Veterans didn’t
let us down when they were called to duty to defend our
country to keep us free. So let’s not let them down. Become
an active member of the Auxiliary and keep fighting for our
Veterans rights. Remember if we have no officers, the Aux-
iliary will have to close down. So please let’s not let our
Veterans down.
And thanks to all for this year’s successful Craft Sale.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND HAVE A SAFE
AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
Loyally submitted,
Lynn Krause
President Zeta Anderson Auxiliary

donations were received, which made it possible for veterans to
have a complimentary meal. THANK YOU to those who do-
nated cash. You were all very generous for donating your time
and money to make the spaghetti dinner a success.
