Orphan children by definition143 million
Children with no parents.18.5 million
Orphan by unicef definition includes children that have lost one or both parents. We havechildren in our care that are part of this number. It is often the case that a child with only one
parent cannot care for the children alone, by providing them a home and educating thesechildren, they are given an opportunity they would not have living in a single parent
environment.

funding by Friend of HOH. The ultimate goal of the Resource Centre project is to promote
the learning skills of the children. Three groups of 40 children visit the centre everyday to
read and play.
The centre is stocked with over 800 copies of different books and writing materials including

notebooks, and art materials. These materials have been donated by volunteers and friends
of HOH over time. The resource centre brought a lot of excitement at HOH. The children can

Construction of Water Well and filtration PlantIn response to some of the most pressing needs of HOH, we established water well. The
children were encountering hardships in getting an adequate water supply and it was unsafe
for the children to go out of the orphanage compound searching for water.
Here we specially want to thanks Rev.Pervaiz United Pentecostal Church Rawalpindi and
Brother Anwar for providing water filter.
A Trip to Nathiagali:On 8th of June a picnic to Nathiagali is arranged for the children and staff of HOH. Nathiagali
is amountain resort town or hill station inHazara,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,Pakistan. It is a part
of theGalyat range, where several hill-stations are situated, closely connected to each
other, and with their names mostly ending in 'Gali'. Nathiagali is known for its scenic
beauty, hiking tracks and pleasant weather, which is much cooler than the rest of the Galyat
due to it being at a greateraltitude. It is situated 34 kilometres at one hour's drive awayfrom both Murree and Abbottabad, lying midway between these two places. We have
Sunday prayer at Catholic Church nathiagali. Children enjoy the beautiful scenes and
environment. They all are having a good time there. At our way back to Abbottabad we stay
at Harnoo. Children enjoy the water and the weather; they have a good time there.
