CQG IC HOTSHEET 14x1 2013 Q1 NEW FEATURES BY ALPHA/BETA RELEASE Analytics: Heikin-Ashi Charts Heikin-Ashi charts are a derivative of candlestick charts. Bars are constructed with data from the prior period’s open-close midpoint and the current period’s open-high-low-close average. The resulting candlestick filters out noise in an effort to better capture the trend: Heikin-Ashi charts represent the average pace of prices. Heikin-Ashi charts provide technical analysts with a versatile tool that can filter noise, foreshadow reversals, and identify classic chart patterns. All aspects of classical technical analysis can be applied to these charts; traders can use them to identify support and resistance, draw trend-lines, or measure retracements. Volume indicators and momentum oscillators also work well with the chart. Overall, Heikin-Ashi charts represent a valuable technique in efforts to identify trends and to predict future prices. To access this chart type, right-click on the header bar of any chart window. For calculations details and chart parameters, visit CQG Online Help. Heikin- Ashi Charts Performance: Better CPU Utilization Beginning in 14x1 and into 14x2 you will start to see better CPU/ Core utilization. In the Portfolio Monitors window, start entering a symbol by exchange symbol, description, or CQG symbol and a menu will appear showing you the closest matches.
