Open to spouses of active duty and retired military members in all branches of the Armed Services who are assigned, attached, or living at Fort Wainwright, as well as active military members and Department of Defense civilians and their spouses.

The purpose of the club is philanthropic in nature. Civic and welfare projects are conducted for the benefit of Fort Wainwright and select organizations from the local community, while fostering a spirit of friendship, support and goodwill for its members through education, volunteerism and participation in community affairs.

Membership year runs from September 1st to August 31st. The 2009/2010 membership application is available for download on our homepage: www.wainwrightcsc.org

The Last Frontier Community Activity Centerwill be closed to the public Wednesday,

February 24 through Friday, February 26for the AFAP conference.

.The Library will be CLOSED for renovations from .February 1st until March 8th and will reopen on Tuesday, March 9th.

Minimal services will be provided during renovations: patrons can return library materials using the curbside return or the drop boxes, and library staff will be available Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Soldiers needing to clear the library to out-process.

ACS, Warrior Zone and LFCAC have computers for patrons needing access while the Library is closed.

Learn how to soothe your fussy baby in five minutes or less at theCuddle Cure Class. This two hour class is recommended for pregnant women, couples, parents, grandparents, child care providers or anyone who has interest in the well being of infants from birth to 3 months of age.

Topics covered are:

> the joys and challenges of becoming a new parent> what to expect from your new baby> the importance of feeding your baby> the reasons why babies cry, definition of colic> the missing 4th tri-mester and 5 steps to calming your baby
