The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program provides 15-18 year-old youth with meaningful, professionally managed career-exploration opportunities in Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) operations. The program is open to dependents of active duty, DoDCivilian, and retired military personnel.

• Candidates must be 15–18 years of age• Must be registered with Child, Youth & School Services (CYS Services)• Must have and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better• Chosen participants are required to work 15 hours/week for 12 weeks• Additional options and requirements may be offered during the Summer Term• Apprentices may complete up to 2 terms/year for 3 consecutive years

The event is designed to foster relationships between adults and children. Assist children todevelop a positive self-image, and a sense of belonging, usefulness and purposes. Parents are required to accompany their children.

SAC will recognize the contributions of Hispanic andLatino Americans to the Unites States and celebrate the group’s heritage andculture. Displays will be showcased throughout the facility.

Summer Child Care Sessions: Child, Youth & School Services provides limited child care for FAME programs. Child care is provided on site at Melaven Gym. When: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.Cost: $35 per child per monthRegistration for October sessions opens September 20.

Baby Signs: Sign, Sing, and Play ClassesThursdays,0900-0930 at LFCACHands on Parent and Child classes that are designed to improve communication with young children. Families will learn signs through song and play–keeping it fun for everyone! September 25Preschool Child Find is a FREE program offered by the FNSB school district. An evaluator will work with your child ages 3-5 to identify their individual needs prior to entering school. A comprehensive developmental screening will be conducted to determine what resources are needed and available for your child to have a fun and successful school experience.
