We do have a few functions booked in the Meeting room for the next three Mondays (Sept. 15, 22 & 29). So for the rest of September we will be having Elder's Fun Days on Wednesdays starting at 12pm. For the next Elder's Fun day, please bring a food item from your cupboard (uncooked) for our info session with Matt. We have been food harvesting these last couple of weeks. I would like to send a huge thank you out to Johnson 'Weese Weese' Bell & Tommy King for all their hard work in those 2 days we did fish for the Elders. Next up is jam. I went blackberry picking and will attempt at making jam four our pantry here. Wish me luck. Next will be crabbing, hunting & clam digging. There is nothing better than traditional foods! Stay tuned for more updates & join in harvesting for our wonderful Elders! We are back up and running with catering gigs. We had one yesterday that went well. The stove in the kitchen blew a fuse and caught on fire (very small fire). So the oven here at the Elder's Center is out of order for the time being. Some of the Elders went on on overnight trip to Belize. We had Sally, David, Mary J., Betty, Willie & Charlotte. Thanks Conrad Browne for making that adventure possible. The Elders greatly appreciate it. Terry Dawson has been working on some of the Elder's yards. If any of you Elders have work that needs to be done, please call me at the Elder's Center so we can arrange it. Enjoy this beautiful weather we have been having. Good Food Bag Update

RE: GFB Deliveries

Hello everyone,

I wanted to let everyone know that given recent run-ins with dogs that resulted in an extremely close

near miss of getting attacked by a handful of dogs, there will be no home deliveries. If you do not pickup

your Good Food Bag it will be given/sold to someone else and eventually you will be taken off the list.

The exception to this will be Elders who have trouble picking up their Good Food Bag.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Michelle Beaulieu
