A General Note before we start-•I don’t feel I have to repeat this but I will- we all need to strive to increase and optimise our efficiency all the time ... Every time... When we do something we must do it well and close it not to have to return it again! Don’t over engineer ... We are always working on a budget and estimates!•We wish Margaret a good holiday in Bologna •Silvio was on Siemens Certification last week and I am sure he has done well as per usual•I need to remind all of you to periodically give me a short list of what you have achieved and what you intend to achieve over a short period (a week or two weeks or even a month) – You all have short term targets which I would like you to share• We will have tow new interns Kristiyan Aleksandrov will join CCI/CVA and Stoyan Sergeev Ivanov will join SSA/CFH from 01 November till 01 March- exacts dates will be confired

Projects and deadlines• 16_007_LeMeridien_BMS_upgrade- Last week I made the internal Kick

off for Le Meridien which is a large project spread over a year- we have done our site survey and now we have to start working on phase 1 panels – phase 1 which has to be completed by Feb 2017- next steps are– Start planning the design and purchasing planning for the first panels and

once materials are here, we will need to execute the change over on site• 15_044_Hilton_Restaurant_Kitchen_AHU – Kitchen AHU is done -

Restaurant will be done this week• 15_008 - Aurobindo PH02 BMS- lets close off with all documentation ,

O&M et.. by the first weeks of Nov 2016• 12_027- Parliament –We have updated Maxpro and now and conclude

all documentation (this needs to be done by 2nd week of Nov) and finally integrate ProWatch

Projects and deadlines• 14_069- Q019 AS410 – Material from Siemens has been received, RFIs are still

unanswered from client• 14_069- Q021_TF4- panel modifications and documentation• 12_025- The last issues on the DAC for SCM PH2- IT IS NOW A PRORITY AND WE

NEED TO GET COMPLETION CERTIFICATION- SCM PH2 needs also some attention on the tagging purchase order for the BMS- CVA is to work on this

• 12_043_Life Sciences – we need to call for an inspection of snags to close everything down- we also need to start scripting on the tenant building module

• 13_075_Bosch_ProWatch_Genetec_Interface - The Bosch HSDK interface is well advanced and we have documented and we should shortly be expecting to go overseas to commission

• 14_081_Siggiewi School- Lets move on concluding issues related to Data acquisition and analysis.... Well done to all who have helped conclude this – we need to now present what we have done internally scheduled for 17th Nov 2016

• 13_031_CCA- still issues with values on ILPS and we also have to execute some new works at CCA (new cameras, new Wifi routers, pagers, shift of gas detectors)

Projects and deadlines• 15_011- Sliema apartments – We have been through the site orientation- next steps are

panel design, materials ordering, panel build and installation/terminations of field on site.• 16_023_GGY- is another home automation project which is on a much faster track- we need

to conclude on all works here (especially IT/BMS/Lighting- Savant will be at a later stage)• 14_083_Intercontinental – We have started works to start up the plant and start

commissioning here- software development has also now advanced on this project. Commissioning is planned to be done by mid Nov 2016 We are also advanced on the second Pool Panel- which is now completed

• 16_015_RSM- this lighting control project is to be completed by Beginning of December 2016 we need to really keep a good eye on what is happening on site by the main contractor- we must ensure the wiring and terminations are done properly

• 15_038_new_HA_Ovt and 15_026_Apap Residence are two home automation projects scheduled for Q1 2017 – we have built all panels for these projects and we are awaiting others to complete their installation

• 13_070- SCM Lagoona Plant room We need to conclude all pending installation works – we will also try to finish the programming but commissioning will be on hold till the client asks us to continue

determine Isma I/O Cards req’d

InstallationThis past week: • Wiring of ATEX termination boxes at OTM • OTM panel modifications and updates of panel drawings• Passed IR cables for A/C’s in Kitchen and workshop• Assisted Claudio on Hilton commissioning• Screening of KNX cable screen at Lifesciences• Assisted Stefan on GGY intruder commissioning• Completed installation of field devices at GGY• Completed data network at GGY

Next week:• OTM panel modifications and updates of panel drawings• Assist Claudio at Hilton• Change RHTT sensors at Sterling• Assist Claudio on Aurobindo training and handover• Fix additional frames at offices• Continue with works at Mosta workshop• Pass cables for showroom electrical meter

Well done to the efforts done to catch up – we are still in slight delay and I have adjusted our plan – we need to keep it now!

Mater DeiThe team at Mater Dei is going through some though changes with the

resignation of Simon Florian and most recently of Michael Abdilla.

The whole team at MDH have to dig deep and work as a team until we find the required replacements for these team members. If any of you out there know of people who can join the MDH team as technicians/electricians, we presently have two vacancies to fill- hopefully soon we will have new people joining

The following Empolyee Jerico Spiteri will be empolyed as a Shift Field PPM Electrician he will initially start on 7th November 2016 on Day roster but will then move to a shift

Sales and Business DevelopmentWe are working on quotes for lighting control systems is

Qatar and trying to secure a large BMS project in malta as well as working on large scale integrations overseas.

We have also offered an AHU control solution for Baxter Could you kindly ‘like’ our ESI Facebook page, it is now

published and visible to the public. https://www.facebook.com/EngineeringForScienceAndIndustry/?fref=ts - The 1st introducing post is already scheduled, then the next one will be schedule for next week. The objective is to get a lot of an audience. It would be great if you share today’s post, and any other- Lets get an audience!
