The Largest Furniture Fair Ever, Again IMOB

Istanbul Furniture Fair knew as one of the top furniture expositions in the world starts the

preparations for IMOB 2012. Istanbul Furniture Fair, which has got together its visitors seven

times before, is now setting itself for the new event, which shall be carried between 31 January -

04 February 2012, in Istanbul Expo Center/ Cnr Expo, Turkey

The fair will draw together the professionals of the sector. Aims of the organization in 2012 are to

keep on growing the success accomplished in 2011 in conditions of visitor number and business

potency. The fair, where may be followed all the developings, conceptions and opportunities of

the furniture sector, intents to be the biggest furniture showcase in 2012. The fair will be

coordinated by ITE Group Plc. Turkey Office E International Trade Fairs (EUF) together with the

Association of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers (MOSDER) and will host furniture professionals

from all over the world.

The fair will display the cutting-edge and the most creative furniture designs and allows for the

right platform for the buyers around the world. The event of 2011 got significant attending. For

2012, IMOB aims to contribute to the developing of the brands and furniture exports by achieving

a higher level of attending and exploding the foreign visitors’ numbers. Besides the buyer

commissions, it's anticipated the visits of many customer groups from all over Europe,

Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Iran, Uzbekistan, Russia, Syria, Ukraine, Greece, Middle East , Africa in

addition to visitors from all over the world.

2012 event’s product profile is composed of contemporary and avant-garde furniture, standard

furniture, classical and neoclassic furniture, sofas, armchairs, living-room furniture, baby, children

and youth furniture, bedroom furniture, beds, single furniture items and accessories, and others.

The fair’ s visitors profile includes furniture stores, chain stores, wholesalers, distributors,

importers, exporters, architects, interior designers, decorators, industrial designers, furniture

subcontractors, furniture supply industry producers, real estate agencies, hotels and all the

furniture sector professionals.

ABOUT IMOB 2011

Over the years, the fair have acted a major function in arranging the schedule of the year.

Carrying on the same tradition, the event of 2011 became a base of exhibition of the last

developing, conceptions and opportunities of the furniture sector. The 2011 event was the

greatest Istanbul Furniture Fair ever. The 8 halls which were reserved for the event demonstrated

to be deficient and a 9th hall had to be added. In total, there were over three hundred participants

in 9 halls, and the event achieved its aim of participation by recording an attending of 87,189

visitors in five days. Many buyer delegation coordinated by the under secretariat of the Prime

Ministry for Foreign Trade and Istanbul Exporters’ Association visited the event. The customer

commissions coming from Azerbaijan, Morocco, Croatia, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia,

Moldova, Russia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Jordan and Greece, Syria, Lebanon and Bulgaria, in

addition to visitors from all over the world. Besides that, different local chambers of industry,

chambers of commerce and chambers of carpenters did corporate visits to the event, including:

Ankara Chamber of Commerce, Denizli Chamber of Commerce, Eskisehir Chamber of

Commerce, Inegol Chamber of Furniture Manufacturers, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Izmir

Chamber of Commerce, Kayseri Chamber of Furniture Manufacturers, Konya Chamber of

Commerce and Kutahya Chamber of Commerce. Besides that, the event hosted various buyer

delegations from many cities of Turkey.
