The Background Behind

WAKATOBIis the name of an island and regency located in an area of Sulawesi Tenggara Province. Wakatobi has became a national park in 1996 with a total area of 1.39 million hectares that consist of marine biodiversity hotspot.

2015Wakatobi was chosen by Indonesia’s Tourism Ministry to be prioritized in developing its facilities and attractions. Because of its huge potential in becoming the hottest tourist attraction in Indonesia.

But!DO LOCALS REALLY KNOW WAKATOBI?From 50 Locals asked, ranged between

16-50 years old, 32 of them say they have heard of Wakatobi before but when asked more about it they start hesitating. The other 18 have never heard the word “Wakatobi” since born.

Sad to say, the answer is NO.

Objectives✘ Raise Awareness of locals about Wakatobi as a wonderful tourist spot and put it in their bucketlist as a must place to visit before they die.

The main goal is to make them say

Create Website Social Media Accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc) to promote Wakatobi and this project in depth and take advantage of the advertising facilities wisely.

Publish high quality threads or articles in local online communities, forums, or media (Kaskus, Hipwee, VivaForum, Detik, Kompasiana, etc)

Propose the chosen Social Influencers (Famous Bloggers, Vloggers, Celebgram, etc) to join us in a free heavenly trip to Wakatobi, encourage them to publish their vacation daily to their followers and promote Wakatobi #Bucketlisted!

And just in time, we’ll see their huge influence to many people to also put Wakatobi in their bucketlist!

Comic Strip becomes a HIT between locals!

Let’s see all the creative brained comic creators write comics about Wakatobi in a very unpredictable way and excite the readers to visit Wakatobi!

All the participants are required to publish their comic strip in their instragram and put #wakatobibucketlisted on the caption! Three winners will win Trips to Wakatobi!
