energy to power an electrical grid.”
Introduction
“Ocean covers more than 70% the surface of the earth would be commonly accepted
to develop ocean energy.”
How to generate power from ocean energy from ocean wave energy and what are the encouraging factors for ocean wave energy
adoption?
Research Question
1) To identify the social and technical factors which influence the ocean energy adoption.
2) To investigate the way of implement the ocean wave energy.
3) To suggest innovative idea to overcome the weaknesses of the ocean wave energy and enable its implementation.
Research Objective
Location: Sarawak Energy to gather the technical information.
Application: Sarawak South China Sea coastal and the resident respectively to gather social adoption information.
Research Location and Application
Scope : investigate the technical criteria and social acceptance in Ocean Wave Energy adoption.
Respondent1) 20 Sarawak peoples for social acceptance2) 10 Sarawak Energy members for technical
information.
Scope of Study
Discuss on application of OWE at South China Sea nearby Sarawak.
Assumed that all respondent have provided honest and correct answer.
Limitations
Ocean itself is free and no fuel needed and no waste produced.
Ocean energy complements the fossil to power the electricity grid.
Importance of Study
“comparison the technical criteria of both fossil fuels and ocean wave energy.”

Application Need to develop a device.
Suitability of place.
Criteria of wave
Insufficient of fossil place.
Need to dig in the ocean.
Productivity Can produce energy as long as the ocean
have sufficient crest of wave.
Can produce energy before it is finish.
Need to find another source of fossil after
finish.
Impacts to Environment Safety, health and safety, environmental and
other sea users’ considerations.
More alternative to electricity energy.
Generate pollution.
Increasing the petroleum will lead to
increasing of the subsistence.
Helping to reduce erosion of the landscape.
